The Retriever Academy

I just returned home from picking up my dog, Luna, from The Retriever Academy and I am so happy to see the results of their program. Luna had earned her Junior title in the Fall of 2018 and we knew if she was going to continue to compete we needed to address some issues she was having. She was frequently dropping birds and was having difficulties with doubles. When I met with the trainers on the day of pick up, to me, she was flawless (just had a problem with O.E. - Operator Error). She walked to the line with me beautifully, executed her doubles very well, and held onto/delivered all birds to hand. The trainers also provided me with excellent instruction on how to continue with her training and how to handle her. All in all, it was money well spent and I can see us working again with Derek and the staff at The Retriever Academy.

Exceptional training experience. The entire operation from grounds to facility are first class. The training staffs ability to train your waterfowl partner is unmatched. I could not be more pleased with how my lab Finley turned out. I would recommend Dereck and his team to anyone interested in a quality experience and fine finished hunting partner.
