If you’ve ever cried in frustration because you felt your dog was too much and you have “done all the things” and nothing has been working, I hear you. I had resigned to thinking that it was just how things would always be - barking at every person and thing, jumping up when anyone came home, counter surfing for scraps, pulling on walks, lunging at cars and animals. I thought it was just her breed. I read countless blogs and watched videos and we tried all the things. ALL of them. I truly had given up to thinking it could ever be better. …and then my husband suggested K9 Academy. We researched and felt aligned with how they train and felt a sense of hope that our sweet dog could thrive with the right help. After their basic and advanced obedience course, I was shocked. Upon initial re-introduction she was calm, she didn’t jump, she was following commands. For a moment I had to check to make sure she was the same dog. They also prepared us before going home with her. They told us she would try to go back to familiar habits, and they prepared us for what to do to make sure we had the best results adjusting back home. At home, we continued to work on the commands and helping her understand her place in the home. Visibly, we could see she was more calm, and because of that - the house was more calm. Now, we don’t have to worry about packages being delivered or people coming over to our house. She knows what to do, and she is calm and confident. Now, let me talk about the biggest hurdle I had which was walks. I loved walking her, but she would pull and lunge and by the end of the walk, I was frustrated and in tears feeling like I was failing. After the basic and advanced course, she has learned I lead and she is by my side, following my command. On our first walks after being home, my tears were of joy and appreciation instead of frustration. K9 Academy completely elevated our understanding of dog ownership and how to have a true relationship with our dog so she can thrive in our ownership. As much as Juliet needed training, so did we. K9 Academy also has been there every step of the way to help as we adjust home, always supportive of questions and helping with redirection if they notice something we can do better. I cannot recommend highly enough.

I have never been more impressed with the training done at the K9 Training Academy! I took my puppy Duke (a black lab) for puppy kindergarten training which lasted 15 days with training of learning basic obedience. Within there, he learned simple obedience such as sit, stay, place, and so many more. Also, Duke was posted on the K9 training academy Instagram so I was able to see his progress while at home! Once I got Duke back from training, I was so impressed from how greatly the trainers trained him! It’s been almost 3 weeks and Duke has been doing amazing with the commands he has been shown throughout his time period at the K9 training academy. I give such a special thanks to the training academy for training my puppy Duke and recommend to anyone who needs to get there dog trained!!
