The K9 Consultant

I cannot say enough nice things about The K9 Consultant. Originally, I had planned on only sending my eleven month old Golden Doodle (Rocky) for obedience training. He is a puppy and was driving me nuts. I also have a 2 year old Shitzu/Pomeranian mix rescue dog (Huxley). I had no intention of sending him to training. I had tried it all with an in-home trainer and, to be honest, Huxley had me so wrapped around his paws that I was convinced if I sent him, his separation anxiety would be unbearable for not only him, but me. Mickey came to my home to pick up Rocky for his first day of training. I casually mentioned that I rarely leave Huxley and that he can’t be left in a kennel. I explained that if I did leave him, I had to keep a camera on him, so I can talk to him while he is behind a gate to ease his anxiety. All of the sudden, I heard myself say it out loud. Ha! Mickey was kind and didn’t call me crazy (in hindsight, it was crazy). Instead, he spent over an hour counseling and encouraging me to want a better life not only for me, but for Huxley. (Trust me, not being able to kennel him was just one of the MANY challenges I had with him.) Mickey never pressured me in any way and left my house with only Rocky without judging me. I thought a lot about what he said and it didn’t take long for me to tell Mickey that I’d like for him to come get Huxley. I truly believe he had compassion and understanding about my worries because he and Duke (trainer) went above and beyond to keep me informed of Huxley’s process as the days passed. In fact, I completely stopped worrying about him because I knew he was being taken care of. I’m told Huxley is one of the tougher small dogs they’ve had when it comes to training. He is extremely stubborn. Somehow, they broke through his stubbornness. Mickey and Duke worked wonders and both my fur babies came home different dogs. I am no longer ruled by a 15 lb. dog. I can leave Huxley in a kennel knowing he is not stressing out and panting in fear. Rocky is the puppy I always dreamed of. He listens to commands and actually shows enjoyment in following them. After a couple weeks home, I forgot a few of the training methods and needed a refresher course. Mickey, without hesitation, scheduled a time to come by and spent over an hour re-teaching me. Honestly, I could go on and on about what a difference Mickey and the entire K-9 Consultant team has made on our household. I would recommend them over and over and over again. You will not be disappointed!!

Our sweet boy spent two weeks with Jeremie and crew. Prior to training, Max was anxious, insecure, and liked to play bite. With a new baby coming, we knew he needed some help. After coming home, Max had mastered basic commands and being able to place him while having a newborn was amazing. I love how the team communicated with us while Max was gone and sent pictures frequently. If you are questioning this training, do it! You won't regret the investment in your family!

I received a 7 wk old Pomchi puppy. As time progressed, we experienced behavioral problems such as: biting, nipping, jumping, aggressive chewing, tugging on clothes etc. Discovered "Callie" is feisty, over active, hyper but can be calm and affectionate. Swaddling her was the only way to calm her down. I was advised, by our Vet, to call K9 Consultants that are very well recommended. They board and train dogs with a Lifetime Guarantee and include an E-Collar in final cost. Dogs need to be fully vaccinated with all the puppy shots before attending. Contacting them they arranged our Dog Trainer "Mickey" to train "Callie". A day and time of pick up was scheduled and what items they needed from us for "Callie". Mickey sent updates and photos daily and even helped celebrate her four month old birthday while with them. Mickey made an extra effort to do so plus spent two extra days needed to finish training "Callie". Mickey arranged day and time to deliver "Callie" to us. He covered everything with us pertaining to the E-Collar etc. Went over all the commands using the E-Collar. Allowed us to practice commands by interacting with "Callie". Reassured us that we can text or call anytime with any future problems or questions. He even came back two days later with a refresher course. I have contacted him a very few times and has helped me every time. He is very knowledgeable about a lot of other issues pertaining to dogs in general regarding best foods and what medicines can give puppy if get sick and other things helpful with our new puppy. Our "Callie" has done a 360 since arriving home and using the commands etc. She is still learning to adjust to them and shows she wants to be the leader. However, we have to be consistent and show her who is the leader. I highly recommend "Mickey" with the K9 Consultants and Staff! They are very helpful. I can not thank "Mickey" enough for everything he has done for us and our "Callie". He is definitely one of my "Earthly Angels"! I thank God for "Mickey", his entire family, and the K9Consultants for being there for us!
