The K-9 Center

This morning I took my 75 lb rottie to the coffee shop by my house that we walk to all the time and was flooded by compliments of how well behaved and controlled (and cute lol) my dog was and let me tell you this WAS NOT the case 2 months ago. In late December I did a 3 week board and train with the K9 center and man did it pay off! I cannot thank the staff there enough, Riley and Cami are incredible, patient and kind. Not only have they taught my Penny girl so much but also me as a dog owner! 10/10 highly reccomend, totally worth the money and so happy I ended up with them as I went through a few trainers!! If you're on the fence about it, this is your sign. Call them!!!

Over the years, I have worked with several dog trainers and they have all been wonderful. Riley stands heads and shoulders above them all. Her upbeat energy is contagious and she displays endless amounts of creativity and patience when working with me and my dog. I started training at the K-9 center because I had an 18-month-old dog who was, in my words, "too smart for my own good." I was finding him challenging to train because he always seemed to be looking for a way to do things his way. Riley's amazing ability to come up with creative challenges for him was just what we needed. She has showed me how to put his ingenuity to work, rather than get frustrated by it. If either myself or my dog isn't getting something, she patiently breaks tasks down into smaller steps so we can be successful. Over the past few months, my dog has become a joy to live with! I love that I can challenge his whip smart brain every day and watch him swell with pride each time he learns something new. Riley is a treasure and just what we needed. :)

Riley and Kami completely changed things for us. We came in with a reactive dog and a lot of nerves about introducing him to our older dog. Now they co-exist so much better, and we actually understand their body language and how to handle situations before they escalate. The patience, the clear communication, and the genuine love they have for every dog really shows. If you’re struggling with reactivity or introductions, these are the people you want in your corner. Highly recommend.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Riley and Kami are amazing. From the second we walked in, they were so friendly and welcoming, and I instantly felt comfortable. Their patience is unreal. Not just with the dogs, but with me too 😂 They explain things in a way that actually makes sense, and I finally feel like I understand my dog instead of just guessing. They communicate with dogs on a whole different level, but what blew me away is how they also teach the owner. I’ve learned so much about body language, how to handle certain situations, and just how to better support my dog overall. You can tell they truly love every single dog that comes through the door, and that commitment shows in everything they do. The changes we’ve seen are drastic. No more leash pulling, I understand him so much better now, and our relationship has completely changed for the better. Training with them has been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
