The Happy Hound Behavior and Obedience

We had just about given up on our high energy Aussie being able to be trained. Controlling our dog in ANY environment was a battle of wills, and anyone that knows Aussie knows that you will lose the battle almost every time. Sami has revolutionized our dog's behavior, to the point where even our neighbors notice the difference. He listens, doesn't chase the cat, doesn't jump, and can behave himself around other people and dogs. Walks are now a pleasure, and people are no longer afraid of our high energy dog when they visit! If you have a problem with your dog's behavior, Sami is a clear choice to help ensure your dog is the best they can be!

Can’t credit Sami/Happy Hound enough. Only wish we had found her sooner. We have unique challenges with 2 big, goofy dogs. Arthur is a typical husky, loud and hyper. Finn is a mutt, fearful and anxious. Both have codependency issues from being raised as WFH dogs and still puppies, both 1 y/o or under when we started with Sami. Our main goals were to be able to walk them successfully at the same time, stop Arthur charging/jumping on guests, e-collar training for both, and confidence building for Finn. We achieved all of that and more within our 10 lesson package. Jumping is significantly decreased, no longer embarrassed when people come over. They walk great together, and only getting better every day. They are successfully trained with the ‘place’ and ‘come’ commands on their e-collars, meaning we also know how to teach them other similar commands thanks to Sami. Finn was able to attend a multi dog pack walk and not be scared or jumpy the whole time. Finn is also able to walk on main roads with busy car traffic without panicking and regressing. Sami not only taught our dogs a lot, she taught us even more about how to be supportive of them and set them up for success. She gave us all of the knowledge and tools we could possibly need to achieve the goals we set at the beginning of our package. We will be booking more sessions for more advanced e-collar training, hopefully getting them just as good off leash eventually 😊 With Sami to help, I am positive they can do it. Thank you Sami!!!

Anybody who has a dog should train them with Sami! Not only did she seem to understand our dog’s behaviors, but she was able to explain training techniques in simple and understandable ways that were easy to implement. So many seemingly small things that made a HUGE impact! It’s been really cool to see the positive changes in our dog, Mookie, from crate anxiety to walking on a leash and interacting with our cantankerous old cats.

Life changing. When I first started training with Sammy I remember telling her “I don’t think there is anything we can do that’s going to change Beaus behavior”. She definitely proved me wrong. We went from reactive to EVERYTHING on walks, anxious, barking, and jumping to being able to actually enjoy our time outside, polite when guest come over, doesn’t bark at every bird and dog and squirrel. The amount of friends and family members that have commented on how much better he is and how much more they can interact with him is amazing. It’s helped him too! Beau was so amped up and overwhelmed all the time and now he has tools to help him calm down and has really started enjoying just being a dog. I could not recommend training with Sammy more. She genuinely changed Beaus life for the better (and mine).

Sami is so great to work with and really cares about all the dogs she helps!! Our dog Sweet Pea tried several training classes, but nothing really stuck for her, and Sami helped us go back to the basics and showed us why things weren’t working. Sweet Pea has gained a lot of confidence since working with Sami and we are still learning everyday :). Our dog also LOVES Sami, and is so excited every week to train. Couldn’t recommend her enough!
