Jen is an absolute wizard! We have two super sweet doodles who are high-energy, and our older one didn’t get proper puppy training because of the pandemic. I was afraid it was too late to train her properly, but Jen saved the day! She trains based on a reward method, so it’s basically the positive parenting version of dog training. When we got our second puppy, we sent her to do 3 weeks of transition training with Jen and it was awesome. We’ll be doing that for all our future puppies. We have also sent the girls to “Stay and Train” when we’ve gone on vacations and it’s fabulous because the dogs always have a blast and come home happy and healthy and even better behaved than when we dropped them off! I can’t recommend Jen Topalian and The Grateful Dog highly enough. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

If you’re getting ready to add a puppy/dog to your family, Jen/the Grateful Dog’s Foundations of Behavior training is the best investment to make for your pup and family! Jen greets and treats your pup with love and structure (both of which are critical!), and sets you/your family up for success when you get home due to her work — crate training, potty training, foundational commands, and a great schedule to use at home to keep the training momentum going. Additionally, Jen is willing and available to chat and give advice once you get home and settled, recognizing that this is a process; we've connected with her several times since home, and her tips/advice have been invaluable. I cannot recommend Jen and her program enough; it was the best decision we could have made for our puppy!
