FirstBarkAbbi is fantastic. She did early training and ecollar training for my very smart and rambunctious pit mix puppy and it was like night and day before we hired her. She’s firm but the dogs absolutely love her and she’s a lovely person to boot!! Five stars is not enough!

I guarantee the work I do with the dog while we are training. I cannot guarantee results if training is not reinforced at home or if the dog does not complete their training. I offer ongoing support and maintenance to help owners after their initial training is complete (excursion sessions, private sessions, group classes, workshops, etc.)

In order for dog´s behavior to continue to be ¨good¨, maintenance training your dog is always recommended. Options for ongoing training is available for all clients once core training is complete.

How do you handle dogs that are difficult or uncooperative?
It depends on the dog. Sometimes muzzle conditioning is necessary for the safety of everyone involved in the training process. Regardless, patience is a must, and going at the dogs pace. But it should be understood, that some stress is healthy and necessary in dog training.

I would totally recommend having your dog trained by The Good Dog LLC because i’ve seen so much progress in my puppy Dakota she was always so happy to train with Abbigail. My family and I cannot say enough great things about Abbi and the experience we have had with her training our dog Chip over the past several months. We have done both private lessons (with and without us) and a group class. Chip had developed leash reactivity. We went in with limited expectations and walked away more than thrilled with the outcome, which was well past addressing the reactivity issue. Abbi is smart, dedicated and just gets dogs and all of their quirks. She helped us all learn how to get Chip and ourselves comfortable. She is awesome and we love all her own pups she uses in the training as well.

My husband and I recently completed Abbi’s Chill Canine Course. Abbi is absolutely wonderful that we have recruited her for other individual needs for our fur-boys. The course really helped in learning patience for us and the pup! Abbi was readily available, patient and even threw in some fun stuff in there. The homework was crucial to seeing the progress so those interested have to commit. Well worth the time and money! Abbi is one of a kind and really helped us with our energy filled adolescent pup!
Highly recommend for both dogs and owners! It was so helpful and really a lot of fun. Helped me to develop confidence with Pearl and keep establishing a bond between us. Abbi takes the time with each dog (and owner), to make this a positive class. It's also great for socialization and better understanding cues from your pup. Came away totally happy with the class. Thank you Abbi!
