We'll pick up and train your dog during the day and return your dog in the evening and report the results, and give the owner 'homework' instruction for the next couple days. Morgan is a 3 year old Minnie Australian. When she was a puppy of about a year we took her to The Dog Wizard for 2 weeks for training, She came back very obedient. We continued to practice and she was a delightful pet. As she grew she became very determined and not responding well. She was not welcoming to people who came to the door and I had to keep her on leash when people were here, She went from loving to greet people to a “guard dog”. We tried a training collar from the company that installed our electric fence, This became like a power struggle, She was barking and growling at people coming in the driveway to to the door. I called the Dog Wizard and we put her back to school. This time trying the e-collar, I cannot believe the difference in her behavior and obedience, She is on the lowest level on the e-collar and sometimes sits when I just pick up the remote, This isn’t as effective if you are not consistent with the process, One day I was away from the remote and just picked up the TV remote and she sat, She loves to catch the ball, but would not bring the ball back and drop it. It was always a tug of war, No more! It is so fun to play fetch with her she automatically brings the ball back and drops it at my feet, Consistency is so important, We were away for a long weekend and my sons were not as diligent to the process as I am, It took me a full day to get her back in shape. She seems happier because no one is yelling at her, She automatically goes in the cage at night with pointing to the cage and saying “go”, I would recommend it to anyone who is having difficulty and willing to really be consistent with the process,

Couldn't be happy with our experience. So accommodating with our needs. Our boxer puppy has learned so much!! Highly recommend! Update - when in need of emergency boarding they are willing to care for him when I had to focus on my husband. Most amazing caring owner and staff.

I highly recommend The Dog Wizard! Jen and the staff take pride in learning about each of the dogs and how to properly cater to their needs. They take the time to make sure the owners understand the training as well. They go out of their way to make it not only a knowledgeable experience for both the dogs and their owner, but also very fun! The staff is very supportive and it is worth every penny.

Dog Wizard Medina LOST MY DOG AND DID NOT TELL ME until the day after it happened! Please be aware that this facility is NOT SECURE and it is possible for a dog to escape. I dropped off my dog for boarding and training so our family could go on vacation. According to Jen Hacker, the owner, the same day I dropped off my dog, Jen left her alone in their training room wearing only a slip lead (no collar). Then a customer entered the building with their dog and left Dog Wizard's gate and building doors open because he was carrying a container of food. I was told that my dog slipped out of her lead, and ran past another Dog Wizard trainer and the customer with his dog, and escaped! To make this worse, instead of calling to inform me about this emergency, Jen Hacker decided to wait to tell me that my dog was missing until the next day when our plane had just landed in Florida! This is extremely DECEPTIVE and unethical! Had I been notified the day it happened, I could've easily retrieved our dog. But because this was kept secret, my dog spent the night lost and wandering around Medina. I spent the first day of our family vacation trying to do everything I could do despite being unable to search for our dog. Thankfully, my parents (who are elderly) and several local friends spent 8 hours searching for my dog in the hot sun. After our dog was sighted sitting on the railroad tracks near Medina Fairgrounds, my mom was able to carefully approach her and get a leash on her. Thank you, Mom!! I paid a huge amount of money (in full, upfront) for our dog to be trained and cared for and that never happened. The money was refunded, but no further apologies, or any remorse shown for an incredibly mishandled and stressful situation. I understand that accidents happen, but not telling the truth about it is shameful. Please do not trust this place to care for your dog!
