No, a dog can be trained at any age as long as your willing to put the time in needed to work with them.

We’d also like to thank Jess who worked with our family diligently to make sure all of our fears and concerns were addressed. Our only regret is not doing this sooner. Game. Changer.
In March, we adopted a one-year old from All Aboard. We knew exactly what we wanted to do with our doggie: hiking, camping, snowshoeing, breweries, doggie play dates…all the Colorado things. The problem was we didn’t know how to get him ready for that. He pulled on the leash, barked at people and dogs, and was very uncomfortable with new people in his house. I work from home and need to be able to concentrate for several hours at a time. That was hard to do with him.
Enter the Dog Wizard. We signed up for the 15-day e-collar training. It finished about a month ago. Tex now walks on a loose leash past squirrels and rabbits. He stays in place when people are coming and going from the house and on outdoor patios. We go on e-collar walks and hikes, and I can use a 30-foot leash because I know he’ll come back to me when I need him to. I can get my work done.
Each person there, from the trainers to the owner to the general manager, loves dogs and are invested in their success. They listened to our goals and exposed Tex to the exact sort of situations we described. Each time I picked him up, they updated me on his progress and had a report card describing the day. Each Friday, they taught the owners the skills they’d been teaching the doggies. Because of this, when new situations arise, I feel confident I‘ll be able to navigate them.
I highly recommend the Dog Wizard and am thankful we found them.

I absolutely recommend the dog wizard!! They are incredibly supportive and helpful not just through the length of your class, but the lifetime of your dog. Our walks are actually enjoyable now and life with a 16 month puppy has finally gotten calmer. My only regret is not calling them sooner!

My dogs walk like dream and place effectively. I highly recommend them! It’s also help build an amazing bond and deeper connection with our dogs. I also love the continuing education opportunities. 5 stars for sure.
