We had the best experience sending our pup, Duke to The Dog School of New Orleans. For a little background…Duke is about 5.5 months old and joined our family of 5 on Christmas Day 2024. As much as we all wanted a puppy and love having him, he needed to learn a lot manners to say the least. Both my husband and I had pups before kids but still were not prepared for what was to come! He wasn’t house broken (potty trained), he jumped, rushed passed us entering/exiting doors (at almost 50lbs could easily knock you down), counter surfing, chewed any and everything, was stubborn to following simple commands like sit, pulled when leash walking, under our feet causing us to trip and was just more work than pleasure to be completely honest. This was so frustrating and heartbreaking as we all grew attached to him; especially the kids. Not having the proper tools or knowledge to help him become better company and fun for our family we were at a loss. Most of the boarding schools I found were anywhere from a month to 3 months and very expensive. We got a pet to be a part of our family. So, sending him away for an extended period of time wasn’t what any of us wanted. A friend recommended The Dog School of New Orleans. There were 2 options five days of basic or ten days for advanced. That felt much more comfortable for all of us. We opted for the ten day advanced training and couldn’t be more pleased. I for one was ready for the break lol but more than anything, I wanted us to all enjoy having him! He has learned so much in such a relatively short period of time. We were sent detailed daily updates and videos of our guy. Eveything was explained in text and matched with the video Duke was being trained in. So, we would easily know how to follow and support him for his transition back home. I was impressed from day 1 to see his growth and want to be led. I’m even more impressed with him at home seeing it for myself and find it pleasurable to work with him since he know has such a great foundation. He’s still a pup but definitely feels more like family versus a nuisance and we are all so relieved and happy. When we picked up Duke, his Trainer Jordan spent about an hour going over everything with us to make sure that we were comfortable with all the commands. It’s been a learning experience for us too! Duke’s been doing so well since he came back home and I would 💯 recommend this company for any training needs. If we are crazy enough to ever get a puppy again, I can assure you that this will be the first place we call!

This is one of the best trainers I have ever encountered. Todd did an amazing job with our fur baby. We were given a puppy (11month old) that was known to be aggressive and had bitten in the past. We do not know what made him act in this manner and I have had dogs that were "said" to be biters but it turned out to be not true. Our dog Ricky was very food aggressive so much so that we could not even feed him. We are now able to pet him while eating, he now is able to "Place" (Stay) while filling his bowl and walking away. He heels while walking sits when other dogs are excited and barking and so much more. The training has made our baby such a delight even when we have company over. I can not tell you how much we loved our services and will absolutely use him again.

The Dog School delivers! My pup was a brat going in and came out well behaved and disciplined. For two years, I was answering to my dog like he was in charge. Now, my dog and I are more confident and I am in charge. I can breathe by coming home from work and eating dinner in peace, among other things.
