The Dog Deacon Dog Training

I have a husky whose name is Garland. As many of you may know, huskies can be very energetic to say the least. Before taking Garland to Mark, I was pretty much at my wits end. Garland would listen to little to nothing I said. So, I called a friend of mine and asked her who she had her dog trained by and she said Mark Minton. I contacted Mark and got Garland scheduled for training. With my initial meeting with Mark, he advised me that huskies were very difficult to train, but thought he could help Garland. So, I took Garland to Mark and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome. Mark kept me informed as to how Garland was doing during his training. Mark also helped me learn the commands to keep Garland under control. Garland has been a much milder mannered dog since his training. I highly recommend Mark as a dog trainer!

My dog MELO (Mee-low) is a sweet loving boy however he began dominance behaviors that escalated into biting me, jumping on me, barking at me, etc. I couldn't control my 20 pound dog! I couldn't even walk him without being scratched and bitten. I was embarrassed, frustrated and heart broken. I've had dogs all my life, big ones and small ones but this little guy was making life so hard. Melo stayed with Mark for 3 weeks. Mark accomplished more in those 3 weeks than I thought was possible. He now walks beautifully on a loose leash. He will sit, down, stay, come and place. He knows to wait at doorways, he loads in the car without a fight, doesn't jump on me or anyone else and no biting! I can take him out in public without fear of losing control over him. Mark taught me what to do and what not to do which I think is as important if not more so than his training Melo. Mark's love for dogs is so obvious. Melo came home with no nervous anxious behaviors which proves he was very well taken care of and loved while he was with Mark. I highly recommend Mark and am extremely thankful to him for correcting a situation that would only have gotten worse.

We did five weeks of training with Mark, and my dog Vegas is a different dog now. He’s a very strong 130 pound Great Dane, who was dragging me around and controlling me. With Mark’s experience and expertise, he not only trained Vegas, but taught me how to handle my dog, and now I am able to control him. Thanks to Mark, our lives are so much better. We even took Vegas to a baseball game, and he was amazing.
