I own a very sweet 11 lb Bishon/Shih Tzu who as a pup needed a bit of training to remind her who is in charge of the household! John was the perfect choice for her training. He is very kind and patient. Brindi was very responsive to his style of training and still maintains her taught skills of come, sit, place, no touch, etc. I highly recommend John as a trainer if patience, diligence and calm are the kind of trainer demeanor that appeals to you. The clicker concept left me amazed at how she responds to the sound of the clicker too! I highly recommend!

John was an absolute God send after I rescued my little maniac Walter. Walter was billed as a couch potato Lab mix who loved all people and other dogs but who was in actuality a very reactive Terrier mix who was afraid of everything and super vocal. John worked so hard and we had such success working together to calm Walter and help him become a great addition to our family. The progress we have made is nothing short of miraculous. I don’t think we would have made it without John and I can’t thank him enough for helping Walter and being supportive of me on this adventure!

John is an excellent, reinforcement-focused, dog trainer. He is kind, smart, responsive, thoughtful, and so very helpful. He is generous with his time, evidence based, and has gone out of his way to gather additional resources and materials when we've asked questions. He has helped us with on leash reactivity to dogs with our shepherd mix Sadie girl and has helped my dad with his pups' training too. He went out of his way to express condolences when a family pup of ours passed. He's by far the most skilled dog trainer I've encountered, and I've worked with probably a dozen, and am a psychologist myself. Could not recommend more!
