The Behavior Barn

My pup Wrigley and I took 3 classes from Ashley at the behavior barn. I really liked the pace and amount of classes. Our goal by the end of the 3 classes was for Wrigley to be a working therapy dog. We learned all the skills he needed in order to be a Canine Good citizen for the AKC. We also got to meet other responsible dog owners and socialize with the puppies and dogs. Ashley was always available for questions after trainings and was knowledgeable about training challenges. I have recommended Ashley and the classes at the behavior barn to other dog owners. Overall this was a wonderful experience for me as an owner and my pup.

Really disappointing experience. We went to the required introduction (which we had to pay to attend and dogs are not welcome) and were sold a great experience, it convinced me to buy a training package but after attending two classes found that not to be at all what you get. Classes were large, we received no personal input/assistance from the trainer. The 'games' we spent time on didn't teach me anything about how to work with my dog. We spent more time walking figure 8's than anything else. There was no actual training. Trainer even said 'i don't teach basics like sit and down' in the basic manners class where the curriculum specifically said we would learn sit and down...very dissatisfied especially for the price.
