Texas K-9 Academy provides board-and-train programs for dogs and their families across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. Established in 2016 and based in Little Elm, we help owners build everyday skills with their dogs, including leash manners, polite greetings, coming when called, and obedience around distractions. Our programs include foundational obedience and advanced on- and off-leash training, with owner instruction and follow-up support to help carry training into life at home. Liz is an amazing trainer! Our puppy was starting to get out of hand constantly knocking over and biting our 4yo son. We knew Froggy (border collie/Australian Shepard) was a long term investment which made the cost and results from Liz’s training 100% worth it. Froggy is back to track to being my sons best friend and has retained so much of what Liz as taught her. I am very happy with the puppy boarding program and rave about the program to everyone that meets Froggy.

Liz was GREAT to work with, and our two stubborn dogs came home much improved in their issues :) It was very obvious that Liz knows what she is doing and our dogs really responded to her training. Walking them together is so much easier now! Liz also spent a lot of time with us to answer our questions and show us really useful tips once the dogs were back home. Highly recommend her!!!!

Liz and Texas K-9 Academy helped us transition our new 1 year old pup and taught him wonderful manners before we picked him up for a two day driving journey home. He doesn’t bark at the doorbell but he comes and gets me to let me know someone’s there. He is a Labrador and they predominantly think with their stomachs, 4 months later still no begging when we eat. He has beautiful manners thanks to Liz and a shout out to Dickendall Labradors because his temperament is superior. I am blessed that the stars aligned and all of you came into my life. Liz knew I needed him to be gentle and not pull because I have a major wrist injury. He is beautiful on the leash and when he gets his recall command he comes running! Thank you so much for your help and compassion. I am hoping to use Texas K-9 Academy in the not so distant future.

Liz did an amazing job with a 15 month old lab for us. He is well behaved and it has been easy to transition the training at home. Liz has been available when needed to answer any questions about training after we got home too. Highly recommended!!!
