Tazmanian K-9 Training

Tevin took in our dog kai (3 year old pit/boxer mix) three weeks of training The biggest issues we were having with our dog was aggressive barking (fear of potential biting to strangers)and pulling at the leash very very badly. After the first meeting Tevin was able to give us all the answers we needed as to why our dog suddenly started giving us issues and ways we need to adjust our routine at home. We waited a week after drop off to visit as instructed and just in that short amount of time we were blown away at the difference such a short time with Tevin and his team had made Kai was calm walking side by side he was actually paying attention and waiting for instruction Every visit we made in the remainder of his stay we continued to see consistent improvement in kai His confidence growing not only in himself but with us also I cannot recommend Tevin and his team enough to anyone who is overwhelmed with trying to help you’re dog on you’re own this was a big task and they met every expectation and more! We cant wait to continue training and see where this journey takes kai and our family 10/10 highly recommend!

Take the time and go meet Tevin!!!! After months of interviewing other trainers we just could not seem to find a good fit for us and our Milo. I had pretty much given up on finding someone who could help us and I was a mess about it. One night, searching the internet and Facebook again for help, I came across an add for Tazmanian K9 Training. I reached out and got a response very quickly and I was quickly and easily able to set up a meet and greet. After meeting with so many before I didn't have high hopes but we went anyway. After just 5 minutes of being there my dog, who does NOT like strangers, was trying to play with Tevin and letting him pet and touch him! We knew right then that we were in the right place. Tevin listened to our wants and needs and gave us all of our options so we could decide what was best for us. We decided on a 3 week board and train and after just the fist week we could see a huge improvement in our dogs anxiety and all around behavior. We just picked him up from his last week and the change in him is mind blowing! He is still his crazy playful self but he is now able to calm down and listen to commands. I could not be more happy with how much love Tevin showed to our boy while he had him and how much improvement we already see in our boys behavior!

A few weeks prior to finding Tevin I had an incident where my dog pulled me down on a walk and bit another dog. I knew I needed help. I knew Goose was going to be a difficult one because he was so clingy to me and was very stubborn. I’m in awe of how far Goose has come! I couldn’t even get him to lay down before, and that was pushing him down and with treats. He now lays down with just the command. His place and stay is amazing! Another things was after picking Goose up the last day, driving home there were two loose dogs on a busy road. I grabbed them and waited outside of my car for animal control to come. Goose normally would’ve been barking and going crazy in the car. Not one peep. He was curious but never barked or growled. He just stayed in the car and watched from the window. I was shocked again! I cannot say enough high praise about everything that Goose has accomplished with his training! Thank you so much to Tazmanian K9 and Tevin for helping me and my dog live our best lives!!!!

I reached out to Tevin in need of a psychiatric service dog. From day he made me feel heard and to not be ashamed of my day to day struggles. That same day Tevin introduced me to my big baby Atlas. He equipped myself and Atlas with the training and tools to be a successful team. I appreciate the help, kindness, support and knowledge from Tevin and his AMAZING team. I didn’t just add one of more member to our family, but everyone from Tevin, Mandy and my entire class has become near and dear to my heart

We brought our hyperactive, mildly aggressive Rottie with separation anxiety and jealousy issues to Mr. Tevin. Within one week, we were watching videos of her sitting for extended periods without a leash IN THE PRESENCE of other dogs (she hated other animals) and was laying in a relaxing position on the floor unbothered! Tevin also trained my kids on how to walk her, give commands and remain consistent with scheduling and discipline. She waits patiently for her food to be prepared. She no longer knocks the kids down to be the first to walk out the door or get down the stairs. She can successfully sit in a relaxing position and watch children play without barking and growling at them. Needless to say, we were shocked! That alone was worth every penny.
