Take The Lead LLC

I met Kimberly from Take The Lead LLC Dog Training, through a co-worker who is taking her beautiful little boy to training. I adopted Carmel in October 2024 and we started our training in March 2025. We started with group training. ( I say we because Kimberly also trains us as your pups handler ) Carmel is very hyper and pulled when we would walk. My back would hurt so bad, I would be crying because I really wanted both of us to enjoy our walks and adventures together. Carmel and I are a work in progress and it's my job to be patient with her and myself. However, she has come so far in her training. We're now doing private sessions so we can work on specific issues. Were doing E-Collar training which is making such a big impact on both of us. We are learning recall so you can call your dog back and they actually come back. Place so they learn to chill, leave it so they don't eat everything on a walk or at home. Socialization with other dogs. How both of us should react etc. So much more. Kimberly loves our babies as much as we do. Carmel sees her and wants to run to her, so excited to see her. We do fun events for those who do or have done, class or private training sessions. We go on pack walks to different areas, we've done a pool party and so much more. I would recommend Kimberly of Take The Lead LLC Dog Training in a heart beat. We are learning so much. No matter what the issue is Kimberly will help you and your pup get through it.

I absolutely loved working with Kim. My dog Chloe a lab instantly connected with her and it was clear from the start that she truly cares about the dogs she works with. We’ve tried other trainers before, but none had the same gentle yet firm approach that really worked for both me and my dog. She made the training process clear, supportive and effective. Kimberly is the best! She will work privately and in groups with you and your pup to give you the best guidance. She goes above and beyond and makes group class fun. Without a doubt Kimberly is the BEST dog trainer we have worked with . . . . and we have had quite a few dogs / trainers. Her love for dogs is obvious. She trains with clear instructions for both the dogs and their owners. She is calm, patient, caring and at the same time very clear about the need for consistency for success. She provides individual training but don't miss out on her classes or pack walks! If you are looking for a trainer she is the one for you! :-) PS: Our dogs LOVE her.. .

Wow, where do I even start? My 1.5 year‑old golden retriever is basically a furry tornado of energy, and after trying obedience training with other trainers, nothing really stuck. Then I found Take The Lead LLC. From the very first group class, Kimberly had me hooked. She taught my pup self‑control techniques that actually make sense, we worked on impulse control, and she explained everything in a way that felt totally doable at home. After that class, I immediately signed up for private lessons and I have gone to every group class and pack walk that I can. I swear I almost have a brand‑new dog.
