My mother and I have been working with Charlene for quite some time with my mom's extremely high strung, dog reactive dog. My mom's dog is a sweet beautiful girl, however, she was a covid puppy, and was dumped at the shelter by her family when she was 3 years old. Due to her past she has intense separation anxiety, is extremely dog reactive, and has a host of other issues due to her previous experiences. Charlene has been super patient and personally involved through this whole process. She has spent time on the phone with both my mother and I, she has even called my mom's vet to discuss the possibility of food and supplements to help calm our sweet girls nerves. We have been enrolled in several group classes to help acclimate Luna to being in the presence of other dogs. Throughout these classes Charlene has also taken the time to reassure and comfort my mom while also patiently helping my mom find ways that she can manage her dog. We have worked with Charlene with several dogs over the last 18years. During this time, we have referred several friends, neighbors, and even some strangers to her. They have all come back and thanked us for it. She is FANTASTIC!!! Our entire family (humans and canines) adores her!!! She is top notch. We have gone to Charlene with a litany of different situations; Different breeds/personalities/ages/issues, etc, She has helped us through each dog the good/bad/confused/etc. Each time she stuck with us. We have done both private and group training with her depending on the dog and the situation. With our first dog (a Pitbull rescue), we had a young child. Charlene worked with both the dog and our daughter to insure we were successful. We can't say enough about her. My now fourteen month old puppy and I have been training with Charlene for almost a year now. When I got the new puppy I asked around as to where to go for puppy classes. Everyone said that you must go to Charlene. After going once a week for the past year, I have a dog who is friendly with other dogs and respectful and lovely with people and children. Charlene really understands dogs and works hard to understand each one. Her advice is sage and well presented. She is highly organized and takes the risks of running a business with dogs and people very seriously. I can tell you her methods work! Everyone who meets my dog is so impressed by her calm, self confident yet friendly demeanor (and they don’t even know her roster of rally tricks)! All in all through training with Charlene, I have forged an even stronger bond with my dog and we both relish that— and Charlene loves to watch that bond grow! I have recommended her to many friends and continue to do so without hesitation.

I took my last dog, a Bernese Mt dog, to Charlene to help finish her training, to be a therapy dog. My dog did very well in her classes, and has been working over 5 years in many therapy dog capacities. Over 18 years of doing this work, I ran across so many people that had used Charlene as a trainer for their dogs, and therapy dogs. So, I did not hesitate to seek her out when I needed help with my 5th dog in training. I am now starting my 6th hopeful in her classes, a young Rough Coat Collie, and I have seen wonderful results just in a few short weeks. I will definitely run my girl through all the level of classes to assure her success. Charlene knows her stuff!
