Synergy Cane9

They say when you love what you do, you never work a day in your life. Then it stands to reason that if you love what you do, you’re probably really exceptional at your job. In the case of Tim from Synergy Cane9 both could not be truer. Tim’s love for dogs and passion for training was obvious from the time I met him during our initial consultation. It was his enthusiasm and genuine affection for my dog Jack that left a positive and lasting first impression. In addition to his personal qualities and attributes, Tim’s skill with dogs was equally impressive from the onset. I remember feeling a bit tense about how Jack would react to meeting him for the first time, since Jack gets overanxious around other people and dogs. This is what I was hoping Tim could help with. As Jack waited in a separate room before Tim instructed me to let him out, Tim explained how their first interaction would go. To my utter amazement the meeting went precisely how he described. Tim explained some of the psychology behind what I was observing between Jack and him and later went on to demonstrate some basic handling techniques I could begin working on with Jack.  Again, I was so astonished and pleased by how well Jack responded. Jack has completed his sessions but periodically goes over to Tim’s to spend the day socializing with his dogs and the dogs of other clients who are having their dogs trained onsite or temporarily boarded while they are away. Another great service Tim offers his clients. Seeing Jack now interact with people and other dogs in the manner he does seemed unimaginable to me a few months ago. I am overjoyed with how happy and well behaved Jack has become and that his anxiety does not exceed the normal level expected for dogs. From the first day through his last session with Tim, Jack and he were totally in sync. I now understand why Tim so aptly named his business Synergy Cane9. So, if you are looking for a true professional to trust with training your dog, and the exceptional customer service that goes along with it, I would highly recommend considering Synergy Cane9…there is no one better!

Tim at Synergy Cane9 has been such an incredible resource, I cannot recommend him enough!! If you’re thinking of working with someone to better both you & your dogs life, please give Tim a chance! You have nothing to lose and SO much to gain! He genuinely listened to what I was struggling with (challenges being around both dogs and people… and a lot of anxiousness built up on my part over the years) and came up with the most creative approaches to work through those things and start building a more confident relationship with my dog. My absolute favorite part about Tim is that he really gives YOU the tools and knowledge to succeed when he’s not around. Over the last few months, I have seen my dog be in so many social situations that I could only dream of during the 4 years I’ve had him. Those wouldn’t have happened unless it were for Tim!! He is extremely communicative and reliable. My dog is not an easy one, and the relief I have having found Tim is inexplainable. I can’t wait to see what else we can experience knowing Tim is there to support and cheer us on!

We emailed and spoke on the phone, both we very awkward. I don't doubt that Tim is knowledgeable and had the potential to assist with my dog training needs. However, I found him to be very confrontational. Everything I said or did elicited a comment about something being wrong with the way I am doing it. I scheduled an in home meeting and he arrived with his girlfriend and did not even advise prior to the meeting that his partner trainer (girlfriend) would be accompanying him, which I found unprofessional. He did not introduce himself or his girlfriend when he came in. He asked where we could sit, giving our couch (which is large enough and new)the side eye? Not sure why... We went to the table and he made a comment about the chairs at the table.:. Then he immediately started profiling me because I was chewing my nails. Apparently his belief that his expertise in body language was more correct than I'm a nail biter and I'm comfortable sitting with my knees crossed. ( my husband also had his knees crossed) He talked at me and down to me, not to me. He may be great with dogs, but his people skills can use quite a bit of polish. Couldn't tolerate his holier than thou attitude long enough to find out. He left before meeting my dogs I gave 2 stars because he was very communicative.
