Sura Dog Training (certified dog training)

When my dog James was a puppy he was kicked out of obedience school because of his aggressive reactivity. Due to the shame and guilt, we didn’t try obedience school again. He is now 10 years old and we decided it was time for him to go back to school and “get his GED.” When we called around, we were turned away from the other training schools due to him being older and bite reactive to humans and dogs. We found Sura Dog Training and just had our training session with Ty less than a week ago. I’m not going to lie, I was skeptical about only having one session with them but from what I am currently witnessing, as long as you keep up with the “treatment plan” and use the tools you learned from the session, you can only go up from here. All of the information we were taught from Sura Dog Training has been invaluable and IMMEDIATELY effective. James’ behaviors are night and day different. He is now the pup we always knew he could be. Hims is the goodest boy. He really is. The training was not only for James but for us as well. We now have the tools to help him that we did not know we even needed as first-time dog owners. A lot of tears have been shed. I cannot thank Sura Dog Training enough. I personally recommend Sura Dog Training to all of my friends and family with dogs who need any type of training without hesitation. It has improved our quality of life as dog owners, and for James as well. He is no longer riddled with anxiety around loud noises, strangers, other dogs, care rides, etc. He is full of adorable confidence. I reached out to Sura Dog Training for help with a reactive dog (e.g. defensive/aggressive to some strangers). Let me preface that if you question how your dog may react to strangers, then you and I had a similar situation. Start to finish, the team (Ty and Caryn) were awesome. The entire process, from application to completed training session, was superb. Communication was professional, fast and detailed; there were never any surprises. Their website, application-process and accompanying materials set the expectations, and were informative and easy to use. During the training I received expert perspectives on my dog's behavior, and over the course of that session observed improvement using the techniques Ty recommended. While they will take time and effort, the training points and path that Ty laid out are easy-to-understand and easy-to-execute. I'm confident that with ample time and repetition the desired result will be obtained. I definitely feel better equipped to pursue the progress I want and which my dog deserves.
