Strutt Your Mutt

I called Strutt Your Mutt for help with my rez rescue. He was terrified of the world and therefore difficult to walk as he just pulled to get back home or inside any building or vehicle he saw. I worked with Autumn and the results were amazing. The initial goal was for Rio to enjoy going on a walk on a long flexi-lead so he would feel more in control. After one month he was a new dog. The next goal was healing by my left side and the ultimate goal was healing nicely alongside my other dog. Our lives - humans and dogs - are so much better since getting help from Strutt Your Mutt. We can take our dogs almost anywhere now. THANK YOU!

We are so grateful for Strutt Your Mutt! When we brought home our new dog, Jack, he started attacking our other dog, scavenging for food, counter surfing, and running away. We reached out to Strutt Your Mutt as a last resort, unsure if we could even keep him safely. After doing a board-and-train with Erika, Hillary, Autumn, and the rest of their team, Jack came home a completely different dog. They not only transformed Jack’s behavior, but also taught us how to understand our dogs better and be more confident, consistent owners. Today, Jack is the best listener and most well-mannered dog. He goes on off-leash walks, cuddles with our other dog, and comes every time we call. Truly night and day from where we started. Even after training ended, Strutt Your Mutt has continued to support us whenever we need guidance. We couldn’t have asked for better results or a more caring, knowledgeable team.

We reached out to Strutt Your Mutt when our lab was 2, killing our pet sitter’s chicken, almost catching a wild turkey and chasing and nipping ankles of mountain bikers. Not good. Very high prey drive and I realized we needed some help. Rio went off for a board and train and we had signed up to get another puppy from the same breeder, right about when we got Rio back home. Our COVID projects. We are now 4 years into training both dogs and it is hard, rewarding, bonding and worth every penny. The younger one, Nuka also did a board and train and was a very independent and challenging personality. Next time I get a pup or dog I’m going to take Erika or Hilary with me to help choose! They have been amazing in their training of mostly me and my husband in how to bring out the best in our dogs and in understanding our dogs. Erika and staff are very knowledgeable,, patient with our learning and always supportive. The relationship that comes with working with our dogs is golden. I am able to take them off leash hiking and call them back at any time, walks with little reactivity, and enjoy the calm in our day to day doings. They are not perfect, but neither am I. I will always have questions and our dogs will always be a work in progress, and Erika and staff are always there for support and guidance.
