Stephanie Bennett's Believe in Dog

I unexpectedly rescued two dogs from the street at separate times within a year from each other! Taking both of them to doggie class at BID has truly been the best experience for all of us. With the stresses of life, I love going to school with each of my dogs since it also allows me to have a brain break:) I quickly discovered my dogs are total opposites and have very different training needs. My first rescue Kleo developed some reactivity towards other dogs. Having the exposure to other dogs and having the tools to deal with difficult situations has helped immensely. My second rescue Kaiser is much more reserved, shy, and anxious. He has gained a lot of confidence and now has many outlets to deal with his anxiety. After having taken just about every class they offer, I am much more educated about how my dogs behave and think. I feel much more equipped to handle my dogs in overwhelming situations. The trainers and staff here are incredibly knowledgeable, kind, and will go above and beyond to help in any way they can. Huge shoutout and gratitude to our trainers Stephanie, Megan, Pedram, Valerie, Kate, Alyssa, and Ashley as well as all the other staff behind the front desk/behind the scenes that have helped us along in our journey:) If you’ve been struggling or just want have some fun activities to do with your dog, take a class and experience BID for yourself. You won’t regret it!!!

Reactive Rover Class - We had such a great experience with the Reactive Rover class! When we started the class, Mullen was reactive toward people, and I wasn’t always sure how to help him feel more confident in those situations. This class taught us so much about understanding his body language, recognizing his threshold, and giving him the tools to make better choices. What I appreciated most was that his progress was achieved entirely through positive reinforcement. There was no punishment or forcing him into uncomfortable situations. Instead, we learned how to work at his pace, build his confidence, and reinforce the behaviors we wanted to see. It made such a difference for both Mullen and me. Our trainers were patient, knowledgeable, encouraging, and genuinely invested in helping both the dogs and their humans succeed. We are so proud of how far Mullen has come and feel much more confident continuing his training. I would absolutely recommend Reactive Rover to anyone working through reactivity with their dog!

I can't say enough great things about Believe in Dog! The staff, facilities, and training program have all been incredible. They truly get to know every dog and give each one so much individual attention. Alyssa was an amazing trainer for our Puppy Class Part 1...her passion for dogs shines through in every class, and she helped our Linguine grow into such a confident, well behaved puppy. Highly recommend Believe in Dog, and we can't wait to come back for more training!

Believe in dog (BID) has done so much for me and my dogs! My dogs Rocky and Moose have both struggled with different levels of fear with strangers. It was really hard for me emotionally to see them struggle and not know how to help them. We went in circles trying different training methods. Thankfully, BID has taught us the importance of positive reinforcement. BID has become a safe space for us and it makes me so happy to see Moose flourish with the help of his trainers. Rocky is next to begin his training here, and he has already benefitted from everything the trainers have taught me and the online resources they have to offer for fear reactive dogs! A huge shoutout to Alyssa, Megan, Valerie, and Jae for playing a huge roll in teaching me how to manage my crazy Moose who started off as a shy puppy and is now a super energetic and friendly teen. Their passion doesn’t go unnoticed and we are so lucky to have found them for our pups. Don’t hesitate in trusting them to teach you how to use positive reinforcement to build confidence in your dog and strengthen your connection! What we booked: - Puppy day school: This program helped him so much through his fear period (major stranger danger). He did so well with socializing when I was worried he wouldn’t, everyone here rocks! :,) Group classes: These classes are helping him learn to stay calm and focused around distractions (people, other dogs, etc..) while he learns new skills. The classes also help me learn from the trainers! Every trainer has been a dream to work with.
