Steady Paws

Yay, Steady Paws now offers Doggy Daycare! Our puppy loves it. She can't wait to get her harness and out the door. The people are friendly and she always comes home tired. (That's saying a lot for a puppy.) 10/10/20 Jon was amazing. He came in for private lessons with my 3 month mini Golden Doodle. The lessons allowed us to learn basic obedience together and strengthened our bond. I only wish we'd done it sooner. 3/15/20

We sent our two Boxer boys to Jon for “Stay and Train” for 16 days. Before Jon helped us/them, they couldn’t be across the room from each other, on leashes, without starring each other down and lunging to attack one another. Now we can give them each the “place” command, while on leashes, and they can tolerate being near each other while ignoring the other. We are hoping that, with continued work at home, they can eventually be out simultaneously, free roaming the house and co-existing. The situation is not ideal but Jon helped tremendously and continues to work with us to further improve the situation. Jon is very knowledgeable and he and his staff are all kind and helpful. His facility is very nice and he offers a variety of services. We would highly recommend him!!!

When we adopted our pit bull from a shelter 2 years ago, we were not aware of his fear and reactivity to dogs. We had tried other types of training, and attempted some training on our own, but had not been successful in handling his reactivity. Jon at Steady Paws provided a well-balanced approach to training, and the tools to train our dog. He was very knowledgeable, and taught us as much as he taught our dog. Would definitely recommend Steady Paws to anyone with a dog!

The owner Jon is absolutely amazing! He is a super kind guy. We adopted a pup from the animal shelter in Jefferson city. We are only two sessions in to her training and can already see amazing improvements in the way she acts and listens. Jon is easy to get ahold of if we have questions or concerns. He also contacts us to check up on how things are going. I think he spends more time training us than the dog lol. He offers a few plans that make it really affordable for training. We fully recommend anyone checking Steady Paws out for themselves.
