Dog training is more than just training the dogs, it’s training the owners. John with Steady Paws was very patient yet stern with his dog training. Just as any good coach, he would tell us how to train Scout, demonstrate what we needed to do, observed us doing it and then coached us as owners to make sure we understood and had a successful session. We also did the board and train and Scout is so well behaved now.

Jon is incredibly knowledgeable and so easy to work with. I started recommending Steady Paws to my friends and family after our first session because he really is that good. His program truly exceeded our expectations for basic obedience training. Overall great training, great customer service, and a great investment.

Jon was great with our Aussie! My husband and I did the Stay and Train since we both work crazy hours. Every issue I felt we had with our dog is gone. For example, normally when I come home at night, I can't relax because the dog is always into something or terrorizing the cat. His first night back home, we had no trouble with him! When he would start toward the cat, a single "leave it" was enough to make him to stop. Jon sent us frequent updates, photos, and videos which made us feel comfortable our fur baby was in great hands. He even fills you in on what you need to do to maintain your doggos good behavior during their transition back home. You definitely would not be disappointed using Steady Paws. Jon makes it 100% worth the effort!

Jon is absolutely wonderful. Full of knowledge and so patient with our dog. He not only taught our dog how to behave, but he taught US how to continue with the training after our sessions are over. Cannot recommend enough!!

Jon is amazing with our schnoodle puppy. He is patient yet firm and makes her training fun. She gets very excited when she knows it‘s training time, and she has learned so much in the 6 training sessions. Glad we found Jon and Steady Paws!
