Stable K9 Training

I highly recommend Brooke and Stable K9 training! We did a 2-week board and train for our Saint Bernard/poodle mix, Murphy. There was great communication throughout with lots of pictures and videos sent as well as updates. At the end, we did a 45-minute going-home lesson where we felt well-equipped to continue the training. We have seen a huge difference after the board and train in Murphy's undesirable behaviors including jumping up, leash pulling, nipping, and just overall stubbornness/listening. She has also checked in to see how things are going and we will get to schedule another at-home session to make sure there aren't any areas we need additional support on. Having owned 5 dogs over the course of 40 years of my life, I am not a novice when it comes to raising a puppy. Nor have I gone without professional training and completion of multiple puppy courses; so I like to think of myself as generally educated when it comes to raising a puppy and dog ownership. 5 months into raising my Amstaff, my first male dog (and a very stubborn one at that!) however, I was at my wits end with a disobedient, destructive and what I perceived to be a possibly aggressive dog. I needed another level of professional help!! I needed a dog whisperer!! ;-) I found StableK9 in Hudson and within hours of reaching out to the owner Brooke, I was on her schedule for a home consultation / evaluation. Once Brooke evaluated my puppies living conditions and through discussion regarding his schedule and my concerns, she quickly concluded that my beloved Mr. Brickston, was having trouble understanding his place in the household, boundaries of the household and his hierarchy within the family. She assured me that there was nothing wrong with my dog and that these concerns can be rectified, if I was willing to put in the effort to reign my boy in and help him learn his place. Basically, I had given him far too much freedom, far too early and now I was dealing with the consequences of a domesticated wild animal; rather than having a trained and well mannered pet. Well obviously I prefer the latter and fortunately Brooke has the knowledge, the skill, the temperament and the program to get me (I mean my dog) on the right track!!! From day one, Brooke has been incredibly helpful, conscientious and attentive to my needs as the owner and my dogs needs. After I continued to struggle, she even took my boy for a 4 day evaluation at her home, which I must say, he returned to me like a new dog after only 4 days!!! That said, don’t think for a second that anyone can reprogram your dog and you’re off the hook of having to put in the effort yourself! But if you’re looking for a kind and skill EXPERT in the field, to teach YOU and your dog how to partner together for a successful relationship, look no father than Brooke and StableK9!!
