We had four sessions with Heather to help us with our one year old dog’s high reactivity when someone comes to the door. She taught us how to have him “go to place” and stay until we release him, which we use for a variety of scenarios beyond just someone coming to the door. Heather also gave us little tips that have helped us enormously with annoying behaviors like possessiveness with bones, counter-surfing, jumping up to grab toys, etc. It’s amazing how small changes to our approach have greatly improved life with our dog. We’re extremely happy we hired St. Pete Dog Works. Highly recommend!

Lucky and I have very much enjoyed Rally, it's a fun way to work on basic obedience that is designed to engage, have fun and possibly compete.

We completed Heather's 6-week puppy class after meeting her at the puppy play date she hosted at St. PetersBARK. As soon as we met her, we knew that we wanted to work with her more. Heather connected with our high-energy, impatient, and very stubborn mini aussie puppy immediately. Watching Heather work with our dog showed us that the problem was us, not the puppy, and inspired us and motivated us to follow Heather's lead to help our pup be a good dog. The 6-week class was awesome—our puppy is so much more well-behaved and fun to be around now. We learned so much and we all had FUN. The class was the highlight of our week and we all looked forward to it. We are excited to learn more from Heather in the future. We could not recommend her and classes enough!

Heather is a very skilled, down to earth and patient trainer. I have a 4 yr old Dalmatian with leash pulling behaviors and who doesn’t perform well with excessive stress. Heather assessed her behavior and is providing techniques that I can use in every day living. The training is correcting a long term learned behavior and strengthening our bond. I highly St. Pete Dog Works.
