Allison worked with my French Bulldog Boo and I in 1:1 sessions. Allison helped us to work on Boo’s fearful reactions to people and dogs. The lessons were focused and structured in a way that did not feel overwhelming or too basic. Allison’s style of teaching was very professional but relaxed. It is obvious that she is experienced and very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend St Pete Dog Works and Allison Schaefer.

Debbie Welsh’s work with Tilly, our 1yo Jack Russell/Mini Australian Shepherd has made ALL of the difference! Deb has extensive lived knowledge and experience providing direct and clear training to Tilly and her people to help Tilly be her best self. Our work together has included “real life” experiences putting in to practice the skills and concepts Deb introduces. Deb is clearly skilled at addressing Tilly’s specific and unique needs, responding to our “trouble spots” and giving of her time and always wanting the best for our pup. We are better, and grateful for, Deb’s leadership, direction, and support. And Tilly says “thank you!”

I recently took my dog to AKC star puppy class ant St. Pete Dog Works, and it was a fantastic experience! Heather was professional, knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to both the dogs and owners. The class was well-structured, and I saw noticeable improvements in my dog’s behavior after just a few sessions. Positive reinforcement techniques were effective, and Heather offered personalized tips for our specific needs. Highly recommend this class for anyone looking to improve their dog’s behavior and strengthen their bond!

Me and my young labradoodle just completed a 6 week basic obedience class, our trainer Alison Schaefer, was so incredibly smart when it came to communicating and connecting with the pups and helping them to understand what we mean with what we say. Teddy (and I) picked up on so many new things in such a short amount of time it was so cool to see as a puppy parent! I don’t think I could’ve done all this work without these classes and I would recommend them 100x over to anybody wanting to, or considering taking a class!
