St. Pete Dog Works

I cannot say enough about St. Pete Dog Works and the training skills we learned from working with them. We adopted an adult standard poodle, Birdie, who was untrained and had separation anxiety. I was very stressed by the situation and knew we needed a trainer immediately. Rachel worked with us to build Birdie’s confidence as she settled into her new life and to build our confidence in handling her and her quirks. We did private training sessions in our home/around our neighborhood so Rachel could help us address behavior in our normal environment, but we also participated in group training with Rachel and a Brain & Body Games class with Alison. Every session included a follow up email with a training recap and homework, many of which we still reference months later, and Rachel was always available between private sessions to talk about issues that popped up or any problems we were having. Birdie is such a good girl who loves learning and training, and St. Pete Dog Works, Rachel, and Alison helped us understand her behavior and motivations, build her confidence, and help her get comfortable in her new environment. Put my puppy Simba into the puppy foundations class with Rachel and it went great. Rachel is a great trainer with lots of good advice and able to change strategies very easily with issues you are having. Will be advancing him into more classes with Rachel as he is getting older. Puppy day camp on Fridays with Heather was awesome, Simba loved it. Unique offering that’s like an advanced puppy day care. Ive used other offerings they have as well. Alison is working one on one with my older dog on a few things and she is awesome.

We had an amazing experience working with Alison for our Puppy Life Skills class! Lola had so much fun and learned so much. Alison is so patient and helpful, and she always made training feel easy and doable. Lola looked forward to these classes every week, and they were definitely the highlight of our week! We’ve already noticed such a difference with Lola and are so happy we did this class with her! Highly recommend Alison! 🐶

Tried the puppy play date for a day and was recommended to be put in a specific kind of puppy life skills class which was nice! Gemma, our 5 month old puppy was put in the puppy life skills class and we loved it. They’re smaller classes which is nice and our trainer Rachel was so kind and helpful with training, any questions we had, and was really good at tailoring training recommendations specific to Gemma’s personality and habits she picked up on. Would highly recommended St. Pete Dog Works to everyone! :)
