We rescued our 1 yo supermutt Ollie around 6 months ago and have considered ourselves lucky that he's been friendly with other dogs & humans from day 1. But we've also struggled with his leash walking, making our routine walks around NYC super stressful, and nothing was helping. It was nearly impossible to keep his attention on us when walking outside; he would consistently pull, eat off the ground, jump up in the air from excitement upon seeing another dog, and bite/pull at the leash out of frustration when he couldn't play or say hi. We were referred to Stephen by a neighbor and reached out immediately for a Walk Clinic session. He was so friendly and accommodating and we knew immediately we made the right decision. We met him in CP for our session and learned SO much. We saw a difference right away and walked away feeling confident in our ability to continue working on these new skills. Stephen was such a pleasure to work with and we are so grateful for everything he taught us!

My relationship with my dog has strengthened after training with Stephen! Prior to training, my dog listened to very few commands, pulled on the leash, and had very bad separation anxiety. After a few weeks of working with Stephen, my dog can sit on command, hold “place” for an extended period of time, and no longer pulls on the leash. My dog’s separation anxiety is the main reason I signed up for training, and her anxiety symptoms have diminished over the past few weeks. We have stopped her from incessantly barking and have been able to teach her how to relax while being alone. Stephen is an attentive trainer who thoroughly explains the reasoning behind everything we implement in class. He also provides online support, follow-up info docs, and homework to be done in between sessions. I am not only more relaxed while walking my dog and leaving her alone but am also more confident as a dog owner.

My dog benefited immensely from Spot-On K9 Training. Before training, my dog was pulling on every walk, was a big jumper, was stubborn, and acted like had selective hearing. After the training, my dog’s obedience has sky rocketed! Not only is he pleasant to go walking with, but he also is now listening to every command I give him. I highly recommend Spot-On Training as the training we did in session laid all the groundwork and the follow-up support was wonderful.
