Southern Star Dog Training

The girls are awesome. I took in my Corso pit bull mix with Some obedience issues, Bordering on aggression. They did an amazing job integrating him, they socialized him with other pets, showing him the world is OK and he doesn’t have to be mad at everything . Every time I would go drop him off he was always eager to get off my car. Their worksite is always clean. My Rex got to go on walks and playtime everyday while doing his training. They make it seem fun well, still getting the training done. I was very pleased with the results.

5 Stars – Highly Recommend! We adopted our 2-year-old Cavalier mix, Teddy, from a shelter and spent about three months trying to work with him on our own. While we made some progress, we realized we needed help and started asking around for trainer recommendations. That’s when we came across Southern Star Dog Training—just as they were opening their new location—and I’m so glad we did! From the very first free evaluation, Braylee and Maggie impressed us with their professionalism, knowledge, and genuine care for both dogs and their humans. Enrolling Teddy in their training program turned out to be one of the best decisions we’ve made. Now, three weeks post-completion, I can confidently say the results have been amazing. We’ve learned how to truly communicate with Teddy and enjoy more relaxed walks and outings together. The human training sessions were a favorite part of the program for me—so informative and empowering. Braylee and Maggie were upfront that their training is only 10% of the work, while the remaining 90% comes from us at home. But thanks to the tools, support, and knowledge they provided, that 90% feels completely manageable—and we’re still seeing steady progress! Teddy absolutely adores Braylee and Maggie and continues to look forward to his weekly daycare visits. It’s clear they’ve built a strong, positive bond with him, and we feel so lucky to have found true partners in his ongoing training journey. We look forward to a long relationship with Southern Star Dog Training and can’t recommend them highly enough!
