About Southern Oregon Dog Training

We are an appointment only facility outside of our walk-in hours Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays from 3-6pm. We are a family owned and operated dog training business. We use science based methods and modern psychology principles to help companion dogs and owners learn to communicate.

Do you have puppy kindergarten classes? I have a 12 week old mini aussie.

We have a 6 week puppy class for $150. It’s very I depth and informative for the owners and each ouppy will learn many key skills including learning to relax and socialize with other puppy’s.

My 3 yr old Brittany is 90% good at coming back to me when off leash; it's that 10% that has me concerned for her safety. She won't listen to me when deciding to chase a squirrel or bird; can I train her to respond to my command at all times?

Yeah you can train her to respond and in time ignore and not even stress out due to a squirrel sighting. Meet n greets are the best thing to start with. We also have a Free Informational coming up. Monday October 7th at 6pm.

I had a very positive experience working with Bethany at So Oregon Dog Training. My Boxer was only about 7 months old and full of energy. He is now 14 months old and has responded very well to positive reinforcement and treat rewarded training. He just passed his Canine Good Citizenship test and is well mannered around other dogs. At the beginning of our training, he was jumping on people when greeting and getting over excited around other dogs. He is SO MUCH BETTER. We even calmly walked through Home Depot too! Thank you Bethany! I highly recommend you!!!!

I called asking for some help with my two Golden retrievers who are under the age of two. Beau listened to everything I had to say and without even seeing the dogs was able to talk me through how to help them immediately. I love the style of training that is used, positive reinforcement, and the abundance of knowledge Beau had about dogs. Not only have a learned how to train my dogs better but I have actually learned about my dogs as well. I would continue with Beau if I wasn’t moving. I cannot recommend him enough.

I love this company, so much! I love how knowledgeable southern Oregon dog training owners are and how comfortable they make you feel, and they are very welcoming and inviting, and that's just the cherry on top. My little lucy-loo-sue is doing so well in her training; it's also fun and, at times, exciting; also at times a lil frustrating however i do know that with frustration plus your involvement with your lil pal, confidant, baby, buddy or what have you, equals reward after reward; not to mention the happiness that you and your pup/dog/ furry friend, will have for the rest of your lil/big pup pup's life. I am definitely learning as well. Oh my goodness, am I ever! Thank goodness for these family oriented, sincere, animal loving people. Oh, and the patience they have with me, being someone who has a hard time remembering things, as well as some learning issues. These lovely teachers I can only describe it as, " it's like going to your most favorite class in school, a class that you can't wait to get to. Thank you, Mr B and family.
