Michael is fantastic! He really helped me and my Belgian Malinois with training. I was having a really hard time with his leash walking and obedience training was lacking on my part. But Michael was phenomenal in not only building strong foundations for my Mal but also teaching me how to work with my dog. I highly recommend Southern Edge K9! I work for the Evans County Sheriffs Office and my Sheriff tasked me with finding the first K9 for our agency. Given our limited budget it was near impossible to find a quality K9 that possessed the capabilities we were looking for. That’s when Michael Duncan with Southern Edge K9 who I have know for quite some time assisted me by testing a litter of puppies from a top breeder in Atlanta Georgia that produced K9 Daxx, a duel purpose tracking and narcotic dog. He tested approximately 15 puppies before finally selecting Daxx when he was 15 weeks old. He started his training immediately and over months of vigorous training has produced one of the best tracking dogs in the area. 3 days after achieving his Level 1 Tracking Certification through GAK9, K9 Daxx had his first live track tracking two burglars from a residence approximately 1 mile to the front door of a residence where both subjects were apprehended. The track was approximately an hour old when he started after several road crossings and other distractions that we in countered on our way K9 Daxx showed his ability to overcome obstacles faced when trying locate a criminal on the run or a lost child through the training he has received from Michael Duncan. His training techniques have proven to produce some of the best man hunters. I am truly thankful for the hard work he put into making K9 Daxx a man hunting machine.
