Southern Edge K9

Wow! Michael is the most amazing trainer ever!! We took our Cane Corso to Southern Edge K9 Basic Obedience training, he learned so many skills that make our lives so much easier. Walking, socializing, basic commands, Capone is a completely different puppy from when we dropped him off 3 weeks ago. Taking the initiate to have our pup to obedience training will make all the difference in our lives and the lives of those around us. Speaking with Michael initially, he provided so much knowledge and understanding to us at no cost. Most people would not think twice to offer any sort of guidance. Which allowed me so much comfort to send my puppy to him. If you’re thinking about taking your puppy through obedience school, this is my first and only recommendation! I assure you, you won’t be disappointed!

I am not even sure where to start on how much I am greatfull to and amazed with the results from Southern Edge K9. I started a pilot program with BCES fire department for a search K9 but was unsure on exactly where and how to start the actual tracking progress or who to turn to. Without fail Southern Edge K9 actually found me and dropped in like a fairy god mother at my rescue. Very quickly Michael came out to evaluate our dog who was a rescue(he is very up front on if he thinks your K9 has what it takes and will not waste your time) and we were unsure he would even take to the training. He easily explained the process for us to understand and showed us what to look for in a dog that would take to the process. And take to it he did. From there on, with regular meetings, training and guidance from Southern Edge K9 the program has gone from a dream to flying off the ground with the latest progress being 1,000 yard on a 2 hour old trail and progressions into urban tracking as well which are higher contamination areas. He teaches not only how to shape the dogs natural instincts but how to read the dog and the distinction between the dog following a trail and following animal. They have been the greatest asset and help I could ever have found. They breed and train true blue man hunters. HIGHLY RECOMMEND all around.
