Smart Start Puppies - Dog Training

I’m incredibly grateful to Smart Start Puppies. They taught me how to have better control of my dog. After her training, she’s become so well-behaved, calm, and brings me a lot of peace of mind. I called Smart Start puppies shortly after adopting a puppy earlier this year. I was having a really hard time and needed help. Julie was amazing from our first call. I was having some regret and was uncertain about our decision to get the puppy, due to the sleepless nights and constant biting etc., but Julie assured me that all of his behaviors were normal and recommended Puppy Bootcamp. I was hesitant at first because Bohdi was so young but after meeting Julie and Tony we knew it was the right decision. We have continued working with Smart Start Puppies now for afew months and Bodhi is growing up to be a confident, smart, friendly and well behaved companion. They really set us up for success and we are eternally grateful for them!

We adopted a 9 week old German Shepherd mix at the end of the year. We thought we were well prepared, read books, watched countless videos and off we went. Absolutely beautiful dog. Nothing prepared us for what followed. After a few days, the biting became so frequent and intense that we had heartbreaking discussions of bringing him back. It wasnt vicious, just an untrained puppy that never seemed unwilling to bite us. Our hands were cut daily. My wife desperately searched the net, in tears, found support groups, but most importantly found Smart Start Puppies. We met Tony and Julie who took our puppy for 2 weeks training. After 2 weeks our little guy had stopped biting by 95%, was going for walks with us totally heeled, had learned "leave it", and had become a happy, transformed dog. We received instruction on continuous training and work with him throughout each day. 2 months later, Tony and Julie took him again for 2 weeks. We just got him back, and the additional training, which included socializing with other dogs, has additionally transformed our little guy into a peaceful, well behaved puppy. I dont like using the word miracle, but the results are beyond anything we could have believed for. We highly recommend Smart Start Puppies! Tony and Julie are like family since we first met in January. We went from sadness and regret with an out of control pup to being peaceful that we have a trained, happy dog that brings us happiness and lots of laughs each day. I found that my dog learned much more than I thought during the two weeks at Smart Start Puppies. He learned things like: drop it, leave it, bed, stay, come, sit. The issue was I did not know how to implement those commands. Thanks to MY training from Cherie, I now know how to properly have my dog do the commands. He is one of the best behaved four month old puppies I’ve ever seen. The key is to ensure you have training as well as your dog.🦮
