Sit Means Sit - Massachusetts

Working with Dave on training our 7 year old Coonhound, Koda, was incredible. When I first met Dave during the initial consultation, it was clear that he not only had a deep knowledge of canine behavior, but also a genuine passion for helping dogs and their handlers. This was exemplified throughout our time training Koda with Dave. Our dog struggled with severe anxiety since we rescued her, even a short walk down the street was difficult for her. Her transformation into a more confident and joyful dog has been amazing to see after just three sessions. Dave took the time to explain every step along the way and always insisted we call/text if we ever have any questions. What impressed me most was the way he was able to read and respond to Koda’s personality and get her to come out of her shell. All in all, this has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for Koda’s well being and we are so excited to continue our training and see her personality and confidence blossom. I cannot recommend Dave highly enough and am so thankful for his ongoing support!

I couldn’t thank Dave enough for his support and expertise with training our 7 year old rescue dog, Koda. Prior to starting training, her anxiety was crippling and she was fearful of the world. Through Dave’s guidance at sit means sit and his encouragement to “train as you live”, she’s become a much more confident dog. I especially feel safer and confident in what to do when children are around us as I now have the tools to ensure she remains calm and polite, since she has a history of being fearful of children. We will continue to make training a part of our lifestyle going forward as this is just the beginning for Koda! She’s already made great strides with being able to go on long walks, remain calm and polite when a child walks by us, and she has even been eating more consistently. We are truly grateful for Dave for helping us learn the tools through dog training to improve both Koda and our lives!

This was my second experience going to Sit Means Sit and my new pup did amazing and learned so much! Dave worked so well with her, as he did my previous dog, and after her training sessions with him she was like a whole new puppy. She’s a lot more obedient which is so important because I have 2 young kids and another on the way. While she was at her full day of training I got updates and pictures from Dave throughout the day. And he reminded me I could always reach out with questions or concerns whenever and he’s there to help. Everything went so smoothly from the start, from scheduling to finishing her training! If you’re considering bringing your dog to Sit Means Sit, I highly recommend!!! Not only do they train your dog, they also teach YOU how to work with them and understand them as well. They really care about their well being, support them, and pave the way for your dogs’ success!!
