At Sit Means Sit South Orange County ("SOC") we specialize in off-leash training even around your dogs biggest distractions. You never know when your dog might get out the front door or slip out the back gate and that is when the training really counts. There’s no dog Sit Means Sit can’t train, from a 180-pound Mastiff to a 2-pound Chihuahua. We train the level of obedience need for service dogs but not the actual task work. We can guide and coach you on the task work.

There are a number of factors that we evaluate prior to building a training package for you such as your dog’s age, temperament, previous training, as well as the desired goals of the owner. How much do you charge just for leash training? I have a four year old border collie and she is well trained accept on a leash. She heals until she sees another dog and lunges after them. She has has sprained my hand trying to pull her.
We do not charge ala cart prices for commands. We have all inclusive packages that allow us to dig deep into your dogs reactivity and give you more than just a band aide.

When we adopted our 150 pound Mastiff mix, we knew he would need time, patience, and training, but we didn’t anticipate the extent of his behavioral challenges. He was highly reactive to people and dogs, making walks and visitors stressful and, at times, unsafe. Given his size, we questioned whether we could safely give him the life he deserved. Working with Andy and participating in his group classes gave us the knowledge, structure, and confidence to move forward. From the start, Andy brought professionalism, honesty, and a deep understanding of both canine behavior and the human side of training. There were no quick fixes, just a thoughtful, humane approach and the expectation that meaningful progress comes from consistent daily practice. Andy taught us not only how to train our dog, but how to become better handlers. Our dog is still very much a work in progress, but the progress has been remarkable. He is calmer, more confident, enjoys structured walks, settles well at home, and recovers more quickly from stressful situations. Just as importantly, we've gained the skills to manage him safely and confidently. Andy has been generous with his time, responsive to questions, and genuinely invested in our dog's success. We're incredibly grateful for Andy's expertise and support.
