10/10 service, can’t recommend enough. I did the 5 day board and train for my pup, which then moves into semi-weekly sessions with the trainer. They taught her to place, heel, and generally settle and ignore distractions. Our trainer (Matt) is absolutely amazing, so patient with both my high energy dog and my own questions, struggles, and pre-existing bad habits. I came in with my own e-collar, but actually far prefer theirs (the sport dog). The remote is always on, and the buttons are more distinctive so you can tell which one you’re pressing even in the dark/when you’re not looking. Great people, great curriculums, well worth the money.

Sit Means Sit has been a wonderful experience for training our 6 month old puppy, Nova. We were struggling with her jumping on us, play biting, and not being able to be calm in the house. We did the five-night board and train and Matt was our trainer. We were hesitant with how she’d do since it was our first time being away from her overnight, so we loved getting the daily updates and photos of her progress. We’ve had 3 additional sessions with Matt and Nova has made so much progress and we’re feeling like we have really solid training fundamentals in place. Every time she sees our trainer, Matt, she gets so happy, so we know we made the right choice for her. We’ve now graduated to puppy classes and are excited to keep fine-tuning!

After we booked a 4 day training boarding session for our 6 month puppy, all I can say is don't make the same mistake we did if you are looking for a dog trainer. Upon arrival I was concerned, however against my better judgement left our dog. We went to collect him 4 days later, and despite paying over 3k our dog is not trained, and actually went backwards with his potty training. He was violently ill for the week after, and his stomach still in not right, leaving extensive vet bills and a sick doggy. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

We love sit means sit! We trained our 4 year old shepherd husky mix through them when she was a puppy. We’re back with them for our second dog, a 2 year old retriever lab mix. Both of our dogs and us feel so supported by the staff and the program! It’s a lifelong training system, where we’re learning with our pups how to communicate expectations better. It’s all about rewarding wanted behaviors, and redirecting unwanted behaviors. Both of our dogs were really reactive to dogs and people on walks, and barking at people from our living room. As large and energetic dogs, that can be really overwhelming! The sit means sit program made it so much easier to redirect the behavior, now it feels like a game to our dogs, as they receive treats and praise when ignoring distractions. For our most recent sessions with our 2 year old, we’ve had the pleasure of having Sam as our trainer! He does such a wonderful job of coaching us and our dogs to successfully use the training so that it’s fun and helpful for us and our dogs. He goes above and beyond in explaining the training and answering all of our many questions. We feel so supported by sit means sit in our dog training journey and we’re so grateful for the program!

If you told me a year ago that my German Shepherd puppy would be leash walking in a perfect heads up heel, without reactivity I wouldn’t have believed it. We started working with Sit Means Sit a couple months after adopting our GSD puppy Moose, he was 4mo old. He had a rough start to life and was very unsure of himself, other dogs and he lacked any and all confidence. He was reactive right off the bat and our goal when adopting him was to give him a life outside of a backyard - we wanted him to experience hikes, car rides, and be able to bring him on all the adventures we were bringing our two golden retrievers on. The trainer we were paired with was Kaylee, and she’s been our saving grace in this learning process. We were starting from ground zero, because we had never encountered these hurdles with our goldens. She has been communicative, reassuring, and constructive through every individual class and then on to group classes. We have had some situations that felt like regressions, but Kaylee came to our house and trained with us through our neighborhood. All of the trainers with Sit means Sit have been amazing. They recognize that each dog faces its own challenges and the training and needs to be tweaked from dog to dog to fit the needs of each individual dog. I can’t recommend Sit Means Sit enough!!!
