We cannot say enough good things about Sit Means Sit, especially our trainer, Dom! We have a Chow Chow mix who just turned 2 and a 10-month-old German Shepherd mix, and before training, both of our dogs were extremely reactive. We were overwhelmed and honestly felt like bringing them places or doing normal activities with them was impossible. For the first couple of weeks, we dropped our puppies off for full 8-hour training days and then worked with them for an hour at pickup. Since then, we’ve continued with both group and individual classes, and what we really appreciate is that the training goes far beyond what happens in a training facility. Dom even met us at Home Depot for a one-on-one session so he could work with our dogs in a real-life environment and show us exactly what to do when they struggle. He has even offered to come to our home if needed. Dom is honestly the best dog trainer we’ve ever worked with, and we’ve been through about three different trainers. He is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and so good at explaining things in a way that makes sense to us. He doesn’t just train our dogs — he teaches US how to manage them and help them succeed in everyday situations. That is what has made such a huge difference for us. We aren’t just teaching our dogs skills that they know how to perform in a training setting; we’re learning how to carry those skills into everyday life and use them in real situations. We also feel completely comfortable trusting the entire team with our dogs. They have very thoughtful protocols in place to make sure everyone — the dogs, their owners, and the trainers — feels comfortable and safe in the training rooms. That gave us a lot of confidence from the very beginning. Our dogs are still a work in progress, but the amount of progress we’ve already seen has given us so much hope for the future. We can now bring them to family events, the beach, trails, and other places that we never thought would be possible. Having reactive dogs can feel incredibly draining and discouraging, but Sit Means Sit has helped us every step of the way. We also want to give a huge shoutout to Zephyr, the owner. He is incredibly present and involved in the business and consistently checks in with us about the dogs, the trainers, and how everything is going. You can tell he genuinely cares about the dogs and the families he works with, and that level of involvement really stands out. Choosing Sit Means Sit has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our dogs and for ourselves. We’re so grateful to Dom and the entire team for giving us the confidence and tools to better understand our dogs, handle real-life situations, and enjoy our lives with them so much more. ❤️🐾
