Sit Means Sit Dog Training North Alabama

Sit Means Sit has been absolutely fantastic! We went to them after our 3 dogs got in several fighting incidents. We went in with the goal of reintroducing all of our dogs to live together peacefully again. Alex and Jessica worked with each dog individually and continuing to come to our home over the last several months for in home sessions working to reuniting the dogs. They really take the time to evaluate each dogs progress and make sure we (the humans) are comfortable and knowledgeable enough to take each step in the process. Could not recommend them more!

Jessica and Alex are absolutely amazing!! We have a son with Autism and adopted a black Lab for him that was 4 months when she started training. We chose to have her trained because she was very hyper and mouthy and our son was terrified. In ONE day, she came home and was a TOTALLY different dog. Today was her final lesson and my son could walk her on a leash and play with her. I'm looking forward to the day when they are inseparable, because I know that's coming. I have always trained my own dogs and it takes a lot of time and commitment to do what Alex and Jessica did in one day. I will admit about not being sure about the vibration collar, but I can attest to knowing it doesn't hurt (she can be a stubborn dog). If you have a stubborn dog, especially a spoiled one that refuses to listen...give Alex and Jessica a call. And I also want to mention that Shaila will make sure that you are properly scheduled for your first appointment and will be there to keep you on track so you don't miss any appointments afterwards.

We could not be happier with our experience! We are having our puppy, Juniper, trained here for her reactivity as well as basic obedience. If you are on the fence, let me assure you that this has been the best investment that my husband and I have ever made. Before we started her training she would counter surf, bark at everything, jump on people, pull on her leash, and just overall ignore us. Now, even after a couple of weeks of training, she is a totally different dog! We have finally been able to have people over, go on walks, and just relax at home. Jessica and Alex have saved our sanity! We are continuing to train Juniper and refine her skills and can't wait to see how far she can go!

I have had my dogs trained at other places in town and they never followed the command for what they learned. It was all treat based and they honestly were putting on weight and not doing it unless there was a treat. The first time I met Jessie I felt comfortable with her. She gave the dogs space to adjust to her, because they do not care for strangers. We agreed to try it and the first lesson the dogs actually walked in and started exploring the office. They were not shaking or insecure at all. Within a week their behavior has been radically different. They even will follow commands without collars on after 2 training lessons. We continue to use collars to be consistent but I am shocked at the difference. I would highly recommend the sit means sit program. It’s worth every dollar. Lifelong support and behavior that no longer embarrasses me when we have people over. Give them the opportunity my dogs are happier and so I am.
