Sit Means Sit Dog Training Long Beach

Update 11/23/25 Awesome event today. We had canine confidence cup competition. There were 4 different events encompassing all the things that we work on in group class. Vayda and her pack did a outstanding job. Thank you Lisa-Marie and Sit Means Sit for helping us build our confidence which reduced her reactivity so she could enjoy herself. Its been almost 2 years since Vayda began her training with Sit Means Sit Long Beach and she amazes and Impresses me every time we go out in public. Vayda can be reactive to both dogs and people I was hesitant to take her out in public before training. Being a bully mix that is reactivity she was deemed dangerous and mean, but the Sit Means Sit team explained that she was neither dangerous or mean. With their help her reactivity is now manageable and we are able to enjoy outing in public places that are filled with people and dogs. Today we participated in the annual Belmont Shore Car Show. She was so proud to walk smack dab in the middle of the street while I got to enjoy the beautiful cars and not have to stress on our surroundings. I am so grateful we found SMSLB. Happy Dog ... happy owner.

Our 1 year old poodle, Sadie, has made tremendous progress in 3 weeks. She was developing bad habits (barking, not coming, not listening). We found out poodles are very smart… and very stubborn lol. Lisa-Marie and her team work with her all day, then teach US how to continue. Now our work begins. Lots of consistency, done with love… it’s good for all of us. I’ve started attending Group Classes and Pack Walks. We’re so excited with her progress. If you’re on the fence, I highly recommend Lisa-Marie, Candace and the Long Beach gang.

I highly recommend Sit Means Sit to anyone who wants to take their dog training journey to the next level. I was first introduced to SMS by a friend and after seeing how well trained his dog was, I knew I had to take my dog to be trained with SMS as well. We were able to train our Goldendoodle, Zeus, and were surprised at how well we got him trained with the help of Lisa and SMS. Fast forward a few years, I adopted an American Pitbull Terrier, Naia. Naia is a rescue dog who we assume had a rough history prior to adopting her but also after we adopted her, she had an altercation with one of my parent's dogs at home. Immediately, I knew I had to take her to SMS. Lisa and all her staff have been wonderful with Naia since day 1. We are about a month in to her training with SMS and it has been a complete transformation with Naia. One thing I will say is do not get discouraged by the price, as the training and everything you get out of it is 100% worth the price! Also, as with any dog training, be aware that you get what you put in to it. You will need to put in the work day in and day out with your dog to be able to achieve success in your training journey. But the good thing with SMS is that you will have Lisa and her staff there to help you along the way with every step you take!
