Sit Means Sit Dog Training

Great training program. Our 4 year old Golden retriever has been reactive in the past. After three training sessions I see a world of difference. This in turn inspires us as owners to strive to keep the improvement going. He was always a little "skittish" in new situations. Since the training his confidence level has vastly improved. I believe we will be clients for life. Worth the investment.

We started going to Sit Means Sit Noblesville in January 2023 after a family member spent years telling and showing us it was the best investment they made for their dog’s obedience, energy, and mental stimulation. We brought our 1 year old Siberian Husky in January for private lessons and group classes. Misty was very thorough in our consultation session and explained the training class progression and use of the remote training collar. Within our first private day train, all of our “problems,” at home had been solved and we were equipped with the tools to manage as needed with Misty’s coaching in the initial session. We then continued going to group class for practice within a highly distracting environment to build skills needed to be able to take our pup everywhere, safely. Our husky joined advanced class in May 2023 and has gone from leash-pulling, constant biting, horrific at the vet and with guests (and more) to being able to go on multiple outings a week with no issues, walking off leash with full control/recall skills. She’s the happiest she has ever been, confident, and truly seems to enjoy training as her “job,” as a working dog. We adopted a 5 year old Siberian Husky in May, who completed day training at Kokomo location. We had a wonderful experience with Ashley at the Kokomo location. Our second dog was in advanced class by end of June. My fiancé and I both feel this is a testament to Sit Means Sit’s ability to educate and build capacity in their clients to work with their dogs confidently, competently and to have fun with it. As a result, we now have 2 confident, happy, mentally stimulated Siberian huskies who we trust in all environments and contexts. I couldn’t ask for a better feeling as a pet owner! We are constantly being asked in public where we have gone to train our dogs and we cannot recommend Sit Means Sit enough. See below for the two happiest, off leash huskies... if you’ve ever heard of such a thing!

The negative google reviews have a strange way of disappearing, so here’s mine. Explore all options and do your research before going here. You will spend no less than $1500 that cannot be refunded before your first lesson, and before you’ve had any personal experience to decide if you like the training. They justify the refund policy as necessary to cover expenses, but there are less anti-client ways to make ends meet. By the way, you only do this if you’re struggling to keep clients (another red flag). The training method is not made abundantly clear when you sign up. They use a shock collar exclusively from the minute you show up without making any effort to determine if it’s the right training tool for your dog. A good dog training service wouldn’t limit itself to one method and expect it to work for every single dog. And they would be skilled enough to train dogs in multiple different techniques. We found much cheaper training at a major chain pet store and have seen great results. I wish I had given that a shot before blindly throwing away $1500 at Sit Means Sit.
