Sit Means Sit Denver Dog Training

After an initial complimentary assessment, it was recommended that we do the unlimited private training which would eventually lead to group training. We have completed 2 training sessions so far that have been super helpful as we work diligently at home with our dog. We understand that it takes time and dedication and that miracles do not happen overnight but we are already seeing reactivity levels and on leas pulling reduced and recall has improved. We are looking forward to even more gains as we continue to work with our dog and the trainers at Sit Means Sit.

Ed and his crew have been absolutely amazing! Bob came to us as a foster puppy who had experienced a good amount of trauma in his short life. I had been working with him for months to overcome his past, mostly his inability to adapt to new people and dogs. Bob is smart as a whip and eager to please, however, when we were out on walks, he believed he was Cujo! We decided to adopt Bob, and then decided to enroll him in the two week board and train. We are now 3.5 weeks in and Bob is already a completely different dog. We were able to walk 1.5 miles on our normal trail without incident. He has come so far with the help of the SMS team, but still has so much to learn. I am ecstatic with where he is after such a short time, but look forward to all we will learn now that we are able to attend group class!

**UPDATE 2.5 Years Later** I wanted to share an update on our experience with Sit Means Sit Denver after 2.5 years of training. Starting this program was one of the best decisions I’ve made for both me and my dog, Roxy. Roxy gets compliments all the time on how well trained she is, and because of the work we’ve done together, we now get to enjoy so many adventures with confidence and ease. We hike, Roxy swims, we hang out on patios, we can play off-leash in safe areas - we can do almost anything, thanks to this program. Our partnership has deepened so much - I trust Roxy in all kinds of situations, and she trusts me right back. No dog or owner is perfect, and when something challenging comes up, the SMS trainers are always there to talk it through and offer helpful guidance. We still attend group class almost every week, not just because it's great reinforcement for both of us, but because Roxy loves it and has a blast. If you’re hesitant about the e-collar, I was too before we started here and didn't know enough about it. But it has truly helped me give Roxy her best life, and it allows us to safely explore and enjoy the world together. It's an amazing tool, and Sit Means Sit ensures you're trained to use it thoughtfully and effectively. The team here goes above and beyond. When Roxy suddenly developed a fear of nail trims, and our usual groomer struggled with her, Nicole and Debbie took the time to work with us patiently, helping desensitize her and rebuild her comfort. Nicole has been an incredible resource from the beginning - she knows Roxy inside and out at this point and is always there when we need support. We love coming to her class every week! Anthony even met us off-site one day last year to help troubleshoot an issue we couldn’t replicate at the facility - just one more example of how invested the SMS team is in every dog and owner team. I can’t say enough about how grateful I am for this program, the community, and the trainers here. They’ve made it so Roxy and I can live our best lives!
