They lost my dog overnight, he was injured, and they blamed me. My dog is a highly anxious dog with flight behavior, that the owner of this company assured me they could handle and help with. My dog was with his trainer, when he slipped out of his collar (with a GPS on it) and jumped out of her car. He was missing overnight and I spent the whole night looking for him. After my dog was found, I texted them that I’d found him, and the first thing the owner of this company sent me (before asking if he was okay) was a link to purchase a harness. This was after they told me not to purchase a harness, but just to purchase their training package instead with everything I would need included AND me asking multiple times about said training package. I never received a single thing from them. And he was injured! When I requested they cover the part of his vet bill that his pet insurance doesn’t cover, they blamed ME, saying he was given to them in a faulty collar, and so they wouldn’t pay. My dog has a martingale collar (that he has NEVER slipped out of a single time since I bought it) with a GPS I purchased because of their recommendation. My dog is still recovering from his injuries and has been acting more afraid than he was before. The owner of this company was indifferent about my dog being lost, and even said they had no protocol for finding a lost dog. In short, they don’t care about your pets. Do yourself a favor, and find literally anyone else!

Hi Taylor. I’m really glad Linus is home and recovering. It was an incredibly scary situation, and I know how much Linus means to you. I do want to provide some context for anyone who reads this review in the future. I believe some of the statements here cross into defamation, but I’m not going to ask Google to remove the review. I would rather the public be able to read what happened and see how Sit Down & Beyond responds when something goes wrong. I refunded everything you paid to Sit Down & Beyond—the $150 evaluation, $575 Adventure program payment, and $60 boarding deposit—despite services having already been provided. I also personally spent $626 on the search and recovery effort, including a $500 reward and a professional lost-pet service. Linus was found and you were contacted within 10 hours of me paying for that service. I’m not avoiding the fact that Linus was in our care. He was, and I take that seriously. But the circumstances on both sides matter. Linus is a known flight risk, which is why he was tethered inside the vehicle. When the door opened, he bolted and slipped completely out of the collar he arrived wearing. I’m not saying this to blame you, but it isn’t fair to ignore that the collar provided for a known flight-risk dog was loose enough for him to escape from. You yourself have acknowledged that Linus has escaped while under your own supervision. I can acknowledge my responsibility while also asking you to acknowledge the role the equipment you provided played in his escape. Regarding your comments about equipment: you were offered an equipment package for Linus and declined it, and I received no further communication about purchasing one. I also want to correct the claim that I said I had “no protocol for finding a lost dog.” What I said—and clarified that night—was that I had no protocol for what to SAY to a client in this situation. In 10 years, neither I nor one of my trainers had ever had a dog go missing in our care. I’m sorry if my demeanor came across as indifference. Under extreme stress, I become very calm. As I explained that night, I am on the autism spectrum and tend to shut down when I’m being yelled at. I assure you I was distraught, and I believe my actions and the resources I immediately committed to finding Linus demonstrate that. Given what you had just gone through, refunding everything felt like the right thing to do despite the Terms & Conditions and Liability Waiver agreed to when services were booked. After returning every dollar and absorbing the $626 recovery expense myself, I don’t believe it would be reasonable for me to also assume the veterinary bill, particularly when circumstances outside my control contributed to his escape. I truly wish none of this had happened. I’m incredibly grateful Linus is home safe. I genuinely tried to do everything reasonably within my power to find him and make this right, and I’m comfortable allowing the public to judge my response for themselves.

Our dog struggled with leash reactivity and an inability to settle and calm herself. This was made worse by her exposure to a traditional doggy daycare. We have been super impressed with her progress since working with the Sit Down & Beyond team. We were able to implement the recommendations for enrichment and have noticed a big difference in her demeanor and reactivity. Also, we were able to have her off leash at a 20 acre sniff spot last weekend for the first time and were so impressed with how well she did! It was such a relief to find Sit Down & Beyond to work with her as well as provide a safe and comfortable place for her to stay for boarding. We have tried to work with several trainers in the past and this has been the best experience we have had.

Since coming home from her two days at Valentina’s she’s been so un-clingy! Yesterday when she got home, we ate dinner, then came in my room to watch TV and she went right in her crate and laid down instead of wanting to lay in my bed on my legs under the covers. She stayed there all night til morning, with the crate door open. I figured she was just exhausted from being gone 2 days. Now today she got home, had dinner, and laid in her crate for a little while, then came over for more petty-pets, then went out on the couch on her own and has been out there relaxing for an hour! I’m truly AMAZED!

Well done Team Jupiter! This is my first time walking him in almost a year and he loose-leash walked. When I gave him some slack to explore, he didn’t pull. I did use the gentle leader, but even so, a year ago with the gentle leader, he would have thrown my back out. I’m genuinely so proud and grateful for the work you have done!

Sit, Down, and Beyond have made SUCH a difference in my dogs’ quality of life words cannot even begin to describe it! I first found them when I was panic searching for a boarding option for my highly reactive large dog. Shuli set us up with an incredible training and prep and tailor-made the perfect experience while we were away. In the meantime, I adopted a tiny bundle of anxiety who was rescued from a hoarding situation. She was terrified of everyone and everything. Once again, they saved the day. Kylie has been my little pup’s guide to life and has patiently helped Thistle learn that there is so much love and safety to be found in the world. With Kylie’s weekly training group for anxious dogs, Thistle has begun to blossom and find confidence in herself. The gentle approach and love Kylie shows these dogs is unmatched. I find myself re-reading the progress updates and rewatching the videos they send over and over because I’m so blown away by the progress. I can’t recommend her enough! If you have an anxious dog (or any dog!) get them signed up!!! You won’t regret it!
