I adopted my dog knowing he came with some emotional baggage from his previous home. He is the sweetest and smartest dog you could ever meet, but he struggled with pulling on the leash, reacting to other dogs, and I simply wasn’t able to make the progress I had hoped for on my own. After completing the two-week Board & Train program at Shultz K9, the transformation has been incredible. He is noticeably calmer, walks beautifully on the leash, listens so much better, and is much more focused. Walks have gone from being stressful to something we genuinely enjoy together. I especially appreciated that Fritz Shultz Monfiston took the time to listen to my concerns and was incredibly understanding from the very beginning. Our trainer, Paul, did an outstanding job. They understood that some of my dog’s challenges were the result of past trauma and worked professionally around them while helping him become a calmer, more obedient, and confident dog. Another aspect I truly valued was that the training didn’t end after the two-week program. When I picked my dog up, Paul spent time teaching me how to continue the training at home. The program also includes follow-up training sessions, which means you’re supported every step of the way rather than being sent home to figure it out on your own. That ongoing commitment made a huge difference to me. My dog is still the same loving, goofy companion we adopted, but now he’s much easier to handle and happier in everyday situations. I couldn’t be more pleased with the results and highly recommend Shultz K9 to anyone looking for knowledgeable trainers who truly care about both the dog and the owner.
