Sequoyah K9 Academy

Our dogs Dessie and Axel just completed the two week board and train program at Sequoyah K9 Academy. We are absoultely amazed by what they learned working with Rachel. She is AMAZING! During our final appointment Rachel showed us everything they learned and then taught us how to work with them going into the future. Today I put everything she taught to work and I was amazed that my dogs were calm, listened to me, could sit, down, heel, and hold place. What has probably amazed me the most with both dogs is the "heel" and "place" commands. We a so grateful for Sequoyah K9 Academy and Rachel. They are truly the best. Not only are they awesome at training but they are loving caring dog people!! If you are looking for a dog trainer this is the place to go!!

Today was our first time taking our 172lb puppy Karl to be trained. The experience was more than we ever hoped for!! Rachael Simpkins is an amazing trainer. In no time she had us take off Karl's muzzle and was able to be around Karl without him being aggressive towards her. She taught us some basic training tools and gave us hope that Karl could become the gentle giant around other people like he is around us. We have already scheduled our next training session and with their reasonable rates we see the ability to be able to continue going and rehabilitating Karl's aggressive behavior.

Rachel (the head trainer) is fantastic to work with. - We traveled from out of town and she was always helpful and flexible on times even if it was inconvenient for her. - She clearly is passionate about training dogs and has a consistent, fair strategy of training. - She also focused on what we wanted our dog to learn, and was flexible with our training needs instead of following a set in stone routine since he knew some basics. We did a 3 week board and train and my dog went from being a very distracted, high-energy puppy to being a focused, well-behaving dog. Furthermore, the prices are very reasonable compared to their competitors.When we moved out of Tennessee to Texas Rachel also provided us great trainer resources that she knew personally here. I love Sequoyah!
