Seattle Family Dog Training

Sean has been an incredible help to our family and our dog, Dorian. We are so lucky to have found Sean and wish for other families to find him as well. After our child was born, we struggled at properly caring for and training our dog. Dorian would get into everything, snatching anything he could reach from tables and shelves, opening drawers to rummage through their contents, bolting out of any door that was opened, jumping onto our dining table, running through the neighborhood, destroying our child’s toys, ripping apart furniture, and ingesting things that weren’t meant to be eaten. He would also bark excessively at us, our neighbors, our guests, and even mail carriers and other deliveries. His barking was so persistent that he kept waking our sleeping infant, making an already exhausting situation even more difficult. At one point, the situation was so overwhelming that I was constantly cleaning up after the dog while caring for a newborn, and I was genuinely worried that we might have to re-home Dorian. Fortunately, another trainer recommended Sean to us. He came directly to our home and worked with us and Dorian with an incredible amount of patience and understanding. He never made us feel ashamed or blamed us for how overwhelmed we were. Instead, he helped us understand what was happening and gave us practical ways to retrain Dorian to make living with him more manageable. The difference has been remarkable. Dorian is doing so much better, our household feels much less tense, and I can finally take care of my child—or even go to the bathroom—without constantly worrying about what the dog might destroy while I’m gone. Sean didn’t just train our dog; he helped our whole family find a much more peaceful way of living together. We are extremely grateful for his patience, expertise, and compassion, and I would absolutely recommend him to other families.

Sean is an absolute fantastic dog trainer. He helped me with my black lab dog December that I used to have back in 2017-2018 and then I got a puppy named Jasmine in April of 2020 and he was so helpful and he ended up boarding and training her for me for several weeks and then he took again in 2021. He is going to help me again with my newest puppy that I recently got one day ago named Sugar. I highly recommend Sean as a dog trainer. Thank you Sean McDaniel!!!! I can't say how much and heartily I recommend Sean. He is knowledgeable, skilled and does a great job training people as well. Watching him interact and work with dogs is a thing of amazement. We were at our wits end with our dog and can now see a huge improvement and we are coming to fully understand the relationship between our dog and us thanks to Sean. We are definitely hiring him again for more sessions.

In the four training sessions me and my pup had with Sean, the amount of progress she’s shown has been outstanding. I never expected her to be able to come so far in such a short amount of time. In our first session every dog we saw she had a massive reaction to, and by the end of the program she’s able to walk past dogs with little to no reaction. Sean is an incredibly accessible person to work with, I was able to text him whenever I noticed new behavior in my dog and get a helpful response every time. We couldn’t have done it without them!
