Scooter Dog Training

Our Wheatin Terrier, Clark, is 4 years old. We were having an awful problem with him pulling on his leash, tugging, and dragging us through the neighborhood. Also, had a real barking issue. We met with "Brian" on a Wednesday, a couple of weeks ago, and, the next day, we had a different dog!! We relented and got a "choke" collar. Never thought we would do that - but we didn't understand what a difference they would make when walking Clark. It only takes a couple of soft tugs and he walks right beside us - no pulling at all!! After only two hours, he was walking like a "good" dog, and has continued to do so the past couple of weeks. The barking is going to take some time, but he is catching on! I am so glad I called Karen and set up an appointment. Best thing for Clark and us!!

I highly recommend Scooter Dog Training. Brian Vinti did an amazing job training our 9 month old French Bulldog, Minnie. She learned so many important commands to help keep her safe and happy (wait, leave it, come, watch, place just to name a few). Before the training Minnie would resist and snarl when we put a harness on her. Brian had this behavior corrected very quickly. It was a pleasure working with Brian and watching as he gained Minnie’s trust and increased her confidence and skills. We could not be happier with the results.

I can’t say enough great things about Karen and Scooter Dog Training! Karen was very knowledgeable, always available for questions, and always right on time. She was flexible when we had appointments pop up and accommodated us moving our training time. She provided us with tons of materials and resources to help along the way. The change We have seen in our golden retriever puppy has really blown us away. He has gone from a complete crazy man to a much calmer and respectful good listener. We will continue to use and work on all the techniques and commands Karen has taught us. If you are on the fence, hire Karen! You will not regret it.

Within the past two years, I sadly lost two dogs. One lost a battle with lymphoma and the other had neurological issues that took her life. As always, I saw this as my opportunity to adopt two more babies in need. Speck was adopted in September and Teddy was later adopted in April. With two new males in the house, the tension was building when it came to hierarchy in the alpha chain. Speck became very aggressive towards my senior male, as well as the new kid, Teddy. I didn’t know how to handle this. I broke up fights and ended up with injuries and I was getting depressed and feeling helpless. I knew I was the problem and I needed to learn what I should be doing and how to handle these situations, if not avoid them all together. Karen to the rescue! Karen explained how my dogs looked at me and that there was confusion on who was in charge. It took one lesson. I took what Karen taught me and immediately changed the roles in the house. It was amazing. No more growling, no more attacks. They two new boys play fight everyday and Teddy will submit if he gets a little too confident. I am beyond thankful they my house has been peaceful and more full of love them ever! Karen is amazing. She provided me with an overview of what we went over. She provided me with videos to help with any questions I may have. Most of all, she is there as soon as I text her. I have provided her with updates for the past three months and constantly let her know that her work has changed our living environment. Karen comes highly recommended and if I could give her 10 stars I would.
