Scooter Dog Training

I've had dogs all my life & just loved them, never trained them. Recently, I rescued Benji, a 9 pound dog with a huge personality who had spent most of his life doing whatever he wanted. He was very insecure and growled at the pet sitter who would take care of him when I travel. So Brian entered our lives. After just a couple of lessons, I was able to go out of town, confident that Benji would accept the pet sitter and he did! All the other things we learned are a bonus. Our two dogs were not getting along. While one the pups is a senior, our other had just turned a year old when they started to go after each other over resources (food, treats, etc.). The one year old has had extensive training and knows better. I called Karen after receiving a referral from our regular facility. She called me back the same day, listened to our issues, provided recommendations/solutions we could implement until they were able to come to our house. She informed me that basically, our household was struggling with a hierarchy issue. Within the couple of weeks that we were awaiting our appointment, we saw much improvement between the two dogs and ultimately did not follow through with the training. Karen was completely understanding and thrilled to know that they were getting along. If the troubles were to re-occur, I would not hesitate to give Karen a call!

Brian helped our 1.5 year old so much! He was petting Chloe during the first visit and our previous trainer from another company couldn’t even get near her to give her a treat after 6 1 he sessions. She respected him and trusted him from the start. He taught us how to properly walk her and teach her that she was not in charge. She was an anxious pup when he first met her and now she is a much better family dog! We need to continue to use the tools Brian taught us and train her each day. He is very professional and has great communication with his clients too. I highly recommend!

I couldn't be happier with our dog training experience. Brian came to our house for 2 weeks to work with our Golden Retriever and Australian Shepherd. Within minutes of interacting with the dogs it was obvious he has a special gift for training animals. We joked that he was a dog whisperer but its really not a joke. My biggest issue was when people came to my house the dogs were nuts. They barked like crazy and were all over people and it was extremely stressful. I honestly didn't think it would be possible to teach them to go to "place" and stay there when strangers were in our house. We finished training last week and I'm here to say it IS POSSIBLE! I can tell them to go to their place and they stay there. They also learned to walk much better on leash. They learned STAY, LEAVE IT and COME as well as some others. "Wait" when going outside is another big one. To have a well behaved dog is just really enjoyable. If you are thinking about doing it but not sure if it will be worth the money, I PROMISE you it will be!
