Scarlet K9

Evan spent 5 sessions over several months with Toby, our 2 year old rescue beagle. We were drawn to Scarlet K9 because Evan’s own dog is a little beagle named Scarlet, and beagles can present unique challenges in their training. We were not disappointed by Evan’s experience that was brought to bear with young Toby. Toby came to us from a foster home where he received good care, but little discipline or training. After several sessions with Evan, Toby is now a gentle and well behaved beagle that we are so happy to have in our home. With Evan’s positive methods, Toby is now a gentle walker that does not pull on his leash; he does not jump on friends who visit us; and he no longer chews on area rugs or other household items. And he will now sleep thru the night in his crate in our kitchen rather than trying to jump in our bed, as he did when we first adopted him. Toby is now a wonderful companion dog for us, and I highly recommend Evan and Scarlet K9 for your dog training needs. He is very competent and professional and knows his stuff! Evan has been a great trainer to our puppy Mitten. As Mitten was our first pet, we needed a lot of guidance and knowledge on how to start on the right path and this is where Evan came in and gave us all the right information, skillset, and training on where we would like Mitten and us to be. Also I think his promptness on follow ups and updates are also the key factor on why he excels better on this field.

Evan has been a blessing to our family and dog Libby by providing personalized training our adopted dog needed. Libby was rescued from the streets of Texas, adopted and returned to the rescue agency twice before we adopted her. She demonstrated some unique, quirky behaviors that were a bit fearful to deal with initially. Evan has provided a great deal of insight into the behaviors she exhibits and showed us how to safely interact with her and prevent bad behaviors, utilizing a variety of tools and techniques. He is very knowledgeable and flexible, working with us here at home, walking in the neighborhood, as well as meeting us at a local park in order to assist with Libby's behaviors in and around other people and their pets. Evan helped me develop the confidence I needed to effectively interact and establish acceptable behaviors with Libby. I highly recommend him!
