Salamone Kennels

Personally thought all was going very well, and by no means I mean no disrespect at all to Mr Salamone, however after taking our pup to him for only about 5 full months his requests to train our pup had suddenly stopped. I was informed of a few comments made about our dog that did come off offensive and unprofessional. There was an incident where we were told we must’ve “beat” our dog at a young age because of his level of obedience and respect but we had never laid a hand on our pup. Being accused of abusing our dog was a bit uneasy but we pushed it aside. Next we were told there was “no love or respect” from our pup towards us. I’m not sure what that was supposed to mean but our pup is extremely loving and personally I do not train or demand anything from him and he has always treated me the same as my partner who does train him. That comment, along with the other, had also deterred my thought of how Mr Salamone viewed us personally. It’s quite offensive to be told you must’ve “abused” your puppy and that he doesn’t “love” or “respect” you. After a few weeks of no contact, some refer to as “ghosting” us, there was a message from Mrs Salamone stating of “bigotry, racist, and entitled” behavior from our persons. My partner has always highly respected him and his property, and had even offered training at our property to help with other pups and referred Mr Salamone in only high respect to others. Personally I find it extremely offensive and unprofessional as that is just untruthful of such awful behavior. Perhaps there may have been some miscommunication in the departure or side conversations had. Overall his technique with the dogs is good but myself and my partner did not appreciate the demeaning comments from Mrs Salamone and how the situation as a whole was handled. As one who works in a professional business setting, a simple thread of respectful and private communication would have been appreciated instead of the harmful names and comments towards our pup and my partner. This is an issue that should be resolved responsibly as adults and not brushed off especially after all time and money invested into our pups training.

I thought i had the perfect trainer. Everything was going good untill may 7th when he cut all ties and would not respond to any calls or messages. When you invest as much as I have into my dog, its very upsetting to be just abandoned out of the blue. I could tell most of his other regulars relied on him allot more. In small talks i was constantly told how my dog is not loyal reapectful and the love was questionable. My dog has never ran away. Can do anything you ask and is one of the most loving dog we have ever had. He would tell me this after watching my dog progress.
