Dean Salamone does a great job training dogs and genuinely cares about the animals and people that he works with. I am thankful for the years of training with Dean as this took my relationship with my GSD to a higher level from an obedience and respect perspective. Dean makes training fun and interesting. He will challenge both dog and owner in order to help you progress to meet personal and/or competition goals. Overall a good guy that regularly works with a good group of people that have a passion for their animals and training.

Highly recommend. When I first started I knew hardly nothing, I and my dog struggled trying to start Schutzhund. Starting the sport for young guy and a older dog isn’t easy. Many said it was a waist of time. Not Dean. He was patient and helped us threw while growing my own passion for the dogs and the sport. Now we are making progress everyday and addition starting a new schutzhund puppy. I couldn’t be more happy to have Dean as my trainer and to know all the wonderful members of Big Timer.

The changes we have seen in our 1 year old GSD after training with Dean for only about 2 months is amazing. What is awesome about working with Dean is that he doesn’t just tell you to do something, he tells you the why behind it. Dean has helped us implement structure in our daily lives that we didn’t realize was so important with this type of dog. Our dog is admittedly on the “sharper” side (not as cuddly), but since training with Dean he has become softer and more loving which is amazing. Dean takes his time and has crazy patience. You can also see how much the dogs love working with him. I love working with Dean and seeing the continued growth with our dog and ourselves as owners. I have so much more knowledge than I ever thought I would need and my confidence when handling my dog has grown greatly. I look forward to working with Dean for a long time to come and cannot recommend enough!
